It was a great episode but not the best one ! The story was a little light, so I was a little boring , I guess I was expecting more since I watched the promo !
But it's still H50 so a great serie, and there were lots of great things on that episode ! Catherine ans Steve , I just LOVE them ! The first scene was excellent ! And McGarett's Mum ! She's awesome ! The explanation she gives to Steve about letting Wo Fat escape is such a lie ! We can see that on her face, and Steve don't trust her !
I think it was a great episode, with some wonderful scenes in it.
Love Cath and Steve, they are awesome. Christine Lathi does such a great job. What the heck is mom up to? Good for Steve not to trust her. I really like that. Danny, you're such a girl. LOL Best line: Stop playing with your gun. :-) Chin was great in his scenes with mom. But he fell a bit short in the ep. Loved bad cop Steve! Don't mess with him.
All in all a really great episode with a pretty boring case, but the cases are not why I watch H50 in the first place.
Am I the only person who thought the opening should have been "Death will touch you." and boom the theme song starts? :-0
I figured the twist out before it was revealed.
I enjoyed the ep. I don't usually watch this show for the cases. Most of the time they don't really grab me until the twist twists. I watch the people...and I 'm getting more Chin these days. So I'm happy.
Moms is suspect. I'm liking and disliking her more each ep. This dislike is because everything about her seems to say that her agenda comes first and getting to know her kid is secondary. Has she asked about her daughter at all? She gives this huge speech about moving back to the island and resuming her life and doesn't mention her daughter at all? What mother....does that?
I am so glad that they revealed something about Doris here, and I loved the use of the 'Governor's desk' music from the season 1 finale. It's creepy, and really signified what she was doing. But Steve's lived there for two years, and the crime techs must have gone over the house after his dad died, so how come no one's found the loose floorboard? Anyway, really good ep, great cargument between Kono and Danny (who finally got to drive his own car!) and of course the banter between Danny and Steve. :D
But I hope they'll develop the story all along the season 3 ! For the moment, I loved their scenes together since the first season, but I want more, When I knew that Michelle will be part of the main cast, I was expecting more than what we got so far I think personaly that their relationship is only "Cath I need a favor !" "Oh, you owne me a dinner" "You'll have it" and a night together Steve seems really just using her when he needs, even if we all know that he feels something stronger ! But we don't really know if they're together or not, if it's serious or not ... so I'm waiting for something more, like a little scene where they talk together about what's really going on between them :ppp
Did not care for it. I keep hope the writing improves, instead it is getting worse. Except for Christine Lahti and Scott Caan, the show would have been cancelled by now, but in the long run don't know even if they can save it.
Am I the only one who dosen´t like Doris? She is way too cocky and entitled. What, she pretended to be dead for over 20 years, and then she breaks into her sons house and makes him breakfast like it´s no big deal? Seriously?
And she is lying through her teeth. Did she really think that Steve would believe what she said about Wo Fat?
Just finished watching it...all i can say is it was ok.It seems to me they lost something last season,i don't know if it was the newness of the show and everyone was really pumped doing it but by the end of last season, everything seemed old, like the show was on it 6 or 7th season.they need to wrap up Wo Fat,they have dragged that storyline oh too long, its been played to death.................
Wo Fat will never be wrapped up. He will always be there. That is what Wo Fat is all about. However they should stop focusing on him so much. Like in the original, Wo Fat was always there, but they didn't focus on him as much as this series does.
Loved the episode. We all know Doris is up to something. She is lying to Steve and Steve doesn't trust her at all. Which is good. I think the writers are doing an amazing job. They just need to move the Wo Fat story along a bit and stop focusing on him. Let him disappear for a while, like they did in the original series. Never knowing when he will show up again.
I'm surprised with that as well I thought John would've looked through every crook and cranny to fidn that box maybe he did but couldn't open but surely somebody can find a stephoscope and open a box easily god I'm that smart to figure it out LOL I think the film strip has something to do with what Wo Fat said in Season 1 'you might not like what you find'
We can't forget that she wasn't there during these 20 years, so Steve had grown and changed ! She doesn't know him as well as she used to, that's why she's being like that ! And I think to hide the truth, she does think he'll trust her anyway, but she forget that he's not her little son anymore ;)
I do love this season, but I agree with you ! I hope they'll improve their plots and characters's relationship ! (Cath and Steve, I love them, but it's always the same ! I'd like to have something more between them for example !) But I think they'll do a season 4 ! and even more !!! :ppp because it's still an amazing show !
I agree with Judy! However, Wo Fat is the center of all the serie, and until they catch him and kill him, he'll be there ! The problem is that they focuse too much on him, they should forget it during some episodes, but it's oly the beginning of season 3, so next episodes won't be about Wo Fat and Doris, but about other charatcers (Danno and Grace, Mary ...) so let's see what's going to happen throughout the season ppp
yeah,i know Wo Fat will be there until, well, whenever, but lets have another storyline for us to sink our teeth into.... guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens! :)
I loved this episode. Really interesting case which I didn't find predictable. I'm glad to see more movement on the Doris side of things - and good to see that Steve doesn't believe her explanations. I am really intrigued by her storyline so looking forward to seeing where it goes. Still not too sure about Cath's role - her involvement feels a little shoehorned in sometimes but I like her so it's not too bad. Lol at Steve going over the bridge and Danny's reaction - gotta love Steve's takedowns.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Love the episode, great scenes, hard to pick one favorite!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of Michelle Borth and really think she plays Catherine well... and there's a great chemistry between her and Alex.
