  1. I loved it! That Trouble was creepy.

And damn, Audrey was cold when she wanted Duke to kill that guy. And poor Duke! He doesn't want to do that.

And Nathan is an idiot for not realizing that Audrey was purposely pushing him away.

And the hell, new guy? You just killed someone too? Whoa!

  2. Wow. Even better than the last two eps, which is saying a lot since they were pretty good. This Hunter thing has really made the season darker, i think. Audrey was very different in this ep, especially in her behaviour towards both Duke and Nathan. The new guy adds an interesting twist. Is he in too deep with the mob or something lol?

I feel badly for Nathan and Audrey both. His face when he confronted her about avoiding him was heartbreaking. Ditto for the tickets scene.

  6. Very dark episode, but the best so far this season for me. It was obvious as soon as Audrey asked Duke to help her, she was planning to use him to end the curse of this particular trouble. I found it rather cold (even troubling-no pun intended) on her part to try to force Duke to do this, knowing how he felt about it. It must have been a bitter pill for him to take when he realized she wanted to use him the exact same way the Rev did, regardless of how it would affect Duke. What a turn around for Audrey's character. Even worse, she showed little compassion for this man who had done her bidding and was now in emotional turmoil over it. Maybe she was attempting to push Duke away as she had Nathan, but Duke now thinks of himself as a murderer without hope of redemption and she did nothing to console him. There will be very dark days ahead for him and Audrey may regret sending Duke down the path he is now on.

Nathan is obviously hurting too. But I'm sure he realizes why Audrey is pushing him away and will not give up on her. So I'm less concerned about his psyche.

The trouble itself was very disconcerting, but the way it was presented was an obvious device to advance Duke's development as a curse-ender. By having so many potential victims while simultaneously providing a perpetrator who was already dying, Duke's crime became more palatable. But it is a slippery slope. As for Audrey, how does she (as a law enforcement officer) condone the murder of a troubled person (even if it is to end a curse); and will she be able to justify it again or will she come in conflict with Duke? Duke may not be the only one haunted by this decision.

  7. really loved it. The mixture of emotions and the development of the different story lines :) love it. Really feel sorry for Duke but glad that his story is developing :) I cant seem to connect with Nathan this season, and it probably doesn't help that he's slightly annoying me. But overall really enjoyed this episode

  9. This was a really really good episode. The trouble, especially in contrast with the season premiere, was kind of horrific. And Audrey was horrible. I don't remember them establishing that if Audrey'd put a bullet in that guys head it wouldn't have stopped the trouble from affecting his victim. I think she was going to just let the guy die slowly. Anyway, what she did to Duke was horrible. I have liked the guy since day one (and honestly I think this is my favorite performance of Eric Balfour's - I mean this part vs everything I'd seen him in before) but I felt so badly for him here.

Am I the only person who doesn't trust the therapist. Enjoyed the actress on One Life to Live but I do not trust this character for some reason.

  10. For me what made the episode all the more powerful was the fact that it's a slippery slope Duke was actively avoiding and one he was forced onto. I completely agree with you...this on eis going to haunt Audrey as well.

  11. I thought only Duke had the powers to end the Troubles curse in a person's lineage. If Audrey had killed the guy herself, the Trouble would have continued in his offspring.

  12. Okay. Lineage is the key here. Thanks.

  13. I felt really bad for Duke, and Nathan this episode.
