  1. I had heard bad things about it but I was pleasantly surprised. Mamie Gummer plays a character who is very relatable, and I thought the patient stories were good. I liked the chief daughter, the resident and attending as characters. Not too impressed with Will or the mean girl but I will definitely be watching it again next week.

  2. This was a very average pilot.
    - There are some good actors in this show but they're too often given bad dialogue.
    - Lose Emily's inner monologue immediately.
    - Speaking of Emily, this show tries way too hard to make her awkward. A lot of it seemed forced. Dial back the social awkwardness. It's cloying.
    - I admire Mamie Gummer for being able to do so much with such shoddy material. She's definitely deserving of the lead role but she needs writing and direction that's deserving of her.
    - This pilot had ADD. Too many cases had Emily going from scene to scene and case to case quicker than the editing on a Ke$ha video.
    - How did this show manage to make Justin Hartley's character so incredibly dull? Michael Rady wasn't much better. He had better material to work with on The Mentalist.
    - While we're on the subject of dull, Emily's nemesis was exactly that. Dull. Her character didn't stand out at all and seemed generic. Emily's new gay BFF was very pleasant though.
    - Anyone who saw this pilot can see a love triangle coming from a mile away. Please do something different instead of being obvious and boring.
    - 5/10 score for this pilot. There were as many negatives as positives.

  3. Love this pilot. It's hilarious. And the inner monologues should definitely stay as they are some of the funniest moments.

  5. I really liked the pilot. Emily was a very likeable character. It's reasonable that her awkward personality retains even only a bit. I am interested to see how Cassandra would remain as her nemesis throughout the season and I am very confident that Emily will get the man she always wanted to have.

  6. I didn't think i'd like it, but I was pleasently surprised! I'll give it some more chances.
