    Well I think I am wrong about the trick gun now, but instead that Nucky is dreaming about weighing paranoid worse case senario consequences of killing James with a possible subtext of dealing with his brother/his own childhood...


    "Good luck to you , James." (s1) ----> "Lucky" Luciano---->Gyp ("Bone for Tuna" + Relationship with Gillian)
    "Gyp" is a devil's advocate --->To be gypped or to gyp others ---> a chip on the shoulder.
    Eli and Roland Smith in the role of James in this episode. Slater also played Devil's Advocate
    Lily Kent lacks substance = "a muse" (Gillian) = "wake up" and smell the bacon = you can't kill James, because you could be all alone.
    S3 opening scene - "two thieves" - Eli and Nucky / Nucky James "thick as thieves", being a thief means nothing (not true)

    I liked this episode quite a bit. I wouldn't classify it as "awesome", but great will do.

    I'll start at the end. lol. I'm very curious to see if Eli regains any of his former stature with Nucky after all Eli tried to do to stop the ambush in Tabor Heights. Surely, Nucky will realize that Mickey Doyle is an idiot and the operation would have been running much smoother with Eli leading...or even Owen. But I guess he likes to keep Owen as his personal bodyguard. At the same time, I know it would be tough to trust Eli again after what happened last season. And I will just say that Eli is lucky he admitted his sins when he did because I don't think Season 3 Nucky would have ever forgiven him. lol.

    I totally saw that coming with Nucky shooting Roland. Nucky is just too cold blooded this season...he has no forgiveness in him it seems. The dynamic between Nucky and Owen is interesting so far this season. I can't believe Owen didn't see that Nucky was going to kill that boy...at the same time, though, part of me wants to believe that Nucky was going to forgive the kid and let him live until he started admitting to all the lies...really being 19, etc.

    I'm really, really liking Gyp Rosetti. Bobby Canavale can play a great vilain!

    I'm not terribly intrigued by Margaret....though it's pretty cool to see the beginnings of the women's rights.

    Seeing the scenes with Lucky in New York were cool. I loved the scene between Mustache Pete and Lucky speaking Italian and bits of English. Very cool considering the real history between the two and what happens with them (in real life). I won't go into it because even though it's real New York history, it could spoil people. lol.

    As good as the Nucky/Owen/Roland stuff was, my favorite scenes this week was all the Al Capone stuff in Chicago. The O'Bannion rivalry is really heating up, and it was awesome to see the loving father side of Al juxtaposed to the violent, unforgiving side....taking care of his own and getting revenge on those that mistreat his people. You could so tell that Al was taking out all of his frustrations from what his son was going through..being picked on at school/being deaf....on that guy in the bar. I loved his final line as he left the bar. "Pay for his funeral."

    Very solid episode IMO.

    as i was watching this Epi....i kept thinking how much i miss Jimmy...for me he put a void in the show....i loved how they showed us Capone's both sides.....loved how he killed that guy with his fists...no wonder he became the #1 gangster ever....to his loving and caring side with the singing to his son...so tender......but his slapping of that girls huge boobs must have hurt her....Ouch, as a woman, i know how that feels......


    and where is Chalky?...come on, i Love him...i cant wait till he messes with Gyp and puts Gyp in his place and gives him a Bone to put in his Tuna, lol....Loving BE so much this year...☺...
