So...question. Are we in the past or present? Did we just see a long-assed flashback? Or was the beginning and ending a very short flash forward? Other than that slight bit of confusion, I really liked it. Also I failed to watch the first season, and don't plan on watching it before the end of this season, but something tells me it doesn't really matter. I voted awesome by the way.
Thank God I wasn't the only one!! I didn't understand half of the episode, but I love it!!, lol it made me suffer, and everything but I love it, so will we have aliens in the story now??, or that's not real?? I'm totally confused...
I think it was partially a mind screw but also a somewhat radical departure from previous season. While last year it was all about the haunted house and ultimately the darkness within the average family, this season it seems to be about the darkness in progressive versus conservative thought. The main spearheads being Lange and Cromwell, very different minds but both are very dark.
I love it. This season seems so much darker and horrifying than season one. And being set in the 60s it is even more horrifying due to what they got away with in asylums and they are also showing how hard it was for anyone not normal. I kind of hope season 3 is majorly a period piece as well.
And while Rubber Man will always be cool and iconic I gotta say Bloody Face is pretty damn creepy.
Yeah I don't think it's going to matter. It's entirely different to Season 1 apart from some recycled actors (but you really should watch S1 at some point anyway, because it's great).
That was brilliant. What the hell was that weird robot-spider thing that came out of Kit's neck? I really love the fact that we had both present-day and past stuff, and I hope they stick to that. Most horror films these days are a chore to watch, but AHS is just fun. And I enjoyed every second of this episode.
That surgical procedure was interesting. If we are too assume that the person performing the surgery was sane(and we are seeing things from his point of view), I would think that the implant has to be real.
Wow, the difference between the seasons is astounding. They've got their footing and the story is off to a terrific start. Everyone was pitch perfect. The weird micro chip thing coming out of Kit's neck was freaking weird...I can't wait to see the "creations" that are living in the woods, bloody face looks like a lot of fun (his face...it's bloody!)... Jessica Lange is a damn chameleon...she just acts the hell out of a scene and now she has James Cromwell to play with... Evan Peters really did a great job introducing Kit... I don't believe for a moment he's anything but a victim. Maybe that chip in his neck made him kill those women? Maybe he's super insane but has no clue? (or Schizo and doesn't realize his alter ego is a murderer?) and last but not least...is Bloody face in the time of the stupid couple in the ruins of the asylum the current Kit? Did they turn him into THAT monster? O_O
OMG...what a CRAZY epi.....they put the "Horror" in the show alright...i was at the edge of my seat.....Wow, it had everything even Aliens, lol...can u believe that Aliens....Love the Spanking scene with Jessica and the other nun when she lifted her robe and exposed her butt for Jessica to spank her, lol......and Jessica's Love scene with the priest, Omg...i wish it would've been real, lol.....she's gonna be Super this season.....
that Adam Levine is super HOT...its too bad his wife didnt get the chance to finish her BJ, lol...but lets see how long that present storyline stays in the show...would love to see Adam again in other sex scenes, lol...☺...
i wasnt a fan of last season. i watched like the first 4 or 5 episodes, but it was just too messy and i couldnt follow any storyline to honestly keep interested. I decided to give this one a try though and was pleased. I dont think this is a tv revolution or anything, but it's very different from anything and i enjoyed it. Also, i really enjoyed seeing adam levine in this and jessica lange killed it as well. I will keep watching for now.
The producers of this show must be thanking whatever power they believe in for the fact that Jessica Lange agreed to sign onto this series. She is amazing.
The credits this season are really creepy.
Interesting start to the season. Season one was a slow burn...which is appropriate to a ghost story. This ep was intense. I didn't expect aliens. I thought it was going to be a fantasy until the the chip was found in his neck.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I have no idea what the hell is going on, but I love it!
ReplyDeleteThat was surely interesting.

ReplyDelete@Stupot815:disqus I assumed it was an alien implant of some sort.
ReplyDeleteI feel like we're not going to have the cute little character moments like last season with Tate and Violet :(
ReplyDeleteIt takes place in the 1960's. The opening scene was a flashforward of sorts in which I'm sure we'll be revisiting.

That was my theory (that Kit was turned into the monster he was accused of being) right up until that chip came out of his neck.
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree with you abut Jessica Lange and James Cromwell. Fabulous.
