How does Hook know that his story has been turned into a movie? He's beem stuck in FTL for 28 years!Aurora is so annoying and so gullible...Just put her to sleep again, please!
Wow, dude is bleeding out in front of you and having trouble breathing and not a single, "are you okay" or "I'll get help." Way to stay single-minded Regina!
Thank goodness! xD I do feel the dramatic poor me facial expression was incongruous with the complete lack of compassion for the dying man in front of her. Plus, she probably needs him alive to figure out what is going on with Daniel.
I get the impression that they've been engaged on a feel bad for Regina campaign. It isn't hitting home for me, especially here with the face/acting versus the situation.
OMG, IDEHTW!!!! Regina goes through so many emotions in that one little scene, I can't imagine what they're gonna put her through in the whole episode!!!
Hopefully they never bring up that 'lie detector' thing again and just have her be naturally suspicious because she trusted someone a few days before and they ended up being evil.
Haha, yeah, cause she didn't do anything to him to bring on that sort of response! He totally deserves to die without any assistance from anyone because he was upset she cursed him to Maine. Regina has turned over a new leaf since Henry turned on her.
You can't have it both ways: either she is a cold blooded villain or she really has a good heart but she's been pushed into nasty actions in a search for justice. :)
Charming punched him in the face without a warning so hard he hurt his own hand. He didn't ask Whale if he broke his nose doing that. All you said was: "Can Charming always wear a gun holster from now on? Pretty please!!!" (btw, I second that motion)
But when it comes to Regina, you expect her to ask, despite her apparent emotional state? I do find your comments amusing sometimes. :)
Glad to make you smile. :) Although, surely you can see the difference between punching the guy who slept with your wife then still answering his questions, and letting a guy bleed to death in front of you without a single concern for his well being even so far as it helps your own cause?
My understanding is that the only times she has trouble with her "power" is when she is emotional about things and doesn't look at them objectively. She wanted to get back to Henry and she's in a completely new world she doesn't understand...I don't know, but I think she still has her lie detecty..ness lol.
Daniel Regina's one true love who Cora Killed by taking out his heart and crushing it. Regina saved his body and Dr. Frankenstein placed another of Regina's heart into his body. Obviously using the magic in Storybrooke.
People apparently took it as an actual 'superpower' rather than just being able to spot a liar or call someone's bluff. Which a lot of people can do a lot better than her.
I added to your up there but now I might not think we're right. Hoping we are though because I just saw an ad for the episode on Sunday and it shows Daniel standing over Henry and Henry is cowering on the ground looking up at him.
Weird thing is we see Daniel's grave in "an apple red as blood". Did regina dig him up again or something before the curse hit. Cos that is kinda disturbing.
Yeah, I noticed that too. I thought that maybe when she was telling Snow in 1x21 that it was Daniel's grave, she meant it metaphorically, as in "Daniel was doomed the moment I saved your life on this hill". Perhaps Regina put only the tombstone there and kept the body in the glass coffin elsewhere? Or, it is possible that the sneak peak is just a hallucination, as some have suggested. Maybe she recalls the glass coffin from before Daniel was buried on the hill and the entire interaction with Whale is just a nightmare/vision of sorts? Her imagination playing tricks on her? (either as an after-effect from using magic, or as a result of Cora's arrival and meddling?) I wouldn't put it past them, because Regina's nightmare at the beginning of "An Apple Red As Blood" was also shown in advance as a sneak peak.
Hey Fiona! This is disturbing! I hope we don't get into monsters and such,we have enough characters to get into.I guess we'll find out soon enough,if nothing else, this episode should be interesting!
I just ADORE the tone in Emma's voice when she says "You mean Captain Hook." I just imagine that her next statement was "You gotta be freaking kidding me." LOL
I think it is an actual power. An ability is an ability no matter what we want to call it (magic, talent, born with it/innate/kinetic, skill, ect). -But I think it might also rely in how she feels about certain things (Like Olivia can't see glimmer or use all of her cortexiphan abilities unless she is really scared of lossing someone she loves - a love-fear combo)
Agreed. Killian Jones IMO is very Pirates of the Caribbean-esqu. His personality and name alludes to a lot of thing in POTC universe. The character isn't limited to any one persona of Hook or Pirates for that matter IMO.
Perhaps, unless it "expands". It might be that her full abilities haven't surfaced yet, because she only now just started really believing in something bigger than herself, let alone wish fulfillment of finally finding her parents. I think it's kind of clear that Emma is really special variable, despite all of her flaws and potential pitfalls..
Didn't say innocent, said had a good heart. Good-hearted people (or even just nonsociopaths) take a pause from their own goals for a second when they come across a man bleeding to death in front of them.
Yes, but prior to the curse we know he "travels" across universes, as he was on his way to Neverland in his introductory episode last week, so he VERY well could know that and have been to TLWM before (plus in some versions of Peter Pan, Hook is actually a Pirate from what once calls TLWM and he somehow gets stuck in Neverland. In the Movie "Hook" he does come back and kidnap Peter Pan's kids!)
It's ALSO curious that in TLWM that "we" (and Emma) know whom these people are...as August writes about them, but it also suggests that others do as well...Emma's enchanted Tree is also called "a wardrobe" and may allude to "The Chronicles of Narnia"...in the series there are people, like the professor who are from "our" reality that travel back and fourth and thus can "record" Narnian history...
I really like the prospect. I think Regina has really lost so much, I can always feel for her. I like this idea that even though the heart is gone (although that might be what is needed to not make a monster) that she/Whale could reanimate him! It will be interesting to see if ever "true love" can bring one's heart back? But Zombie Daniel and and a Montand-ed Dr. Whale sounds like good Halloween fun to me! :D
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I'm convinced Regina is hallucinating, tbh. I don't think it's going this storyline is going to pan out the way we think it will.
ReplyDeleteI continue to be amazed by Lana Parrilla's change in voice depending on the character's emotional state. This looks so exciting, I can hardly wait.
ReplyDeleteThis looks bad (i'm talking about sneak peak 3) if Hook is around so Cora is not far away either.
ReplyDeleteUgh Lana just gets better and better every episode. This looks like it's gonna be a cracker of an episode.
ReplyDeleteSo in love with Hook at the moment his character is sooo good - and like that Emma is taking charge in that scene!.
ReplyDeleteAlso what is up with Whales arm?!.
wow...cant wait for this episode
ReplyDeleteI'm not convinced it's real either.
ReplyDeleteDid the writers decide to write Emma as competent again? I'm shocked I tells ya. It probably won't last though.
ReplyDeleteHow does Hook know that his story has been turned into a movie? He's beem stuck in FTL for 28 years!Aurora is so annoying and so gullible...Just put her to sleep again, please!
ReplyDeleteWow, dude is bleeding out in front of you and having trouble breathing and not a single, "are you okay" or "I'll get help." Way to stay single-minded Regina!
ReplyDeleteBeen looking for a newseries. Guess I have some catching up to do.
ReplyDeleteHeh. They haven't re-written Regina as a saint yet so her lack of concern for Whale in favor of answers about Daniel isn't unexpected.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure she cares more about her dead true love than the about the man who stole his body.
ReplyDeleteHe had his arm ripped off. CLEARLY he's not okay.
ReplyDeleteAt least Emma&Snow knows who they're dealing with. Sort of. Nice catch, Emma!
ReplyDeletePlus I'm pretty sure she doesn't need to ask him if he's okay, the ripped off arm kind of answers that one.
ReplyDeleteLol at Emma: "...as Captain Hook?!?!"
ReplyDeleteThank goodness! xD I do feel the dramatic poor me facial expression was incongruous with the complete lack of compassion for the dying man in front of her. Plus, she probably needs him alive to figure out what is going on with Daniel.
ReplyDeleteIt's still nice to ask, at least as a segue into the first aid discussion.
ReplyDeleteIt's only incongruous if you overlook that Regina is usually too self-involved to show concern for things or situations that aren't about her. :)
ReplyDeleteHa! Yeah, "violently detached limb" explains the situation fairly well all on its own.
ReplyDeleteI get the impression that they've been engaged on a feel bad for Regina campaign. It isn't hitting home for me, especially here with the face/acting versus the situation.
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't.... Other people refer to him as Hook.
ReplyDeleteSame here. I can usually only muster any sympathy for Regina when she's dealing with her mother.
ReplyDeleteHa, I'm sick of Aurora, too. We're used to Snow being a bad ass heroine, so women who act a bit more like stereotypical damsels in distress annoy me.
ReplyDeleteHe said "people call me by my more colourful [sth]'' so I assumed he meant his animated self.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm guessing Emma's "lie detector" power is back? she sure could've used it against Cora,
ReplyDeleteThat's one of the reasons I can't stand her but mostly,I hate Aurora for attacking Snow and because Aurora and Mulan are basically useless.
ReplyDeleteOMG, IDEHTW!!!! Regina goes through so many emotions in that one little scene, I can't imagine what they're gonna put her through in the whole episode!!!
ReplyDelete...or against Rumple in the s1 finale...
ReplyDeleteFor the guy who wanted to choke her to death? There's not a lot of good will between them, I'd assume.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they never bring up that 'lie detector' thing again and just have her be naturally suspicious because she trusted someone a few days before and they ended up being evil.
ReplyDeleteHaha, yeah, cause she didn't do anything to him to bring on that sort of response! He totally deserves to die without any assistance from anyone because he was upset she cursed him to Maine. Regina has turned over a new leaf since Henry turned on her.
ReplyDeleteYou can't have it both ways: either she is a cold blooded villain or she really has a good heart but she's been pushed into nasty actions in a search for justice. :)
I really don't care about Hook... Please go away.
ReplyDeleteOww will someone put WHale's arm back in place plz?
ReplyDeleteI am going to go with the Rumpel, Regina and Cora are good enough liars to fool her and Hook is not.
ReplyDelete"So you've heard of me." I love how smug Hook is :D
ReplyDeleteActually, it's neither. She's neither a cold blooded villain or a person who is innocent.
ReplyDeleteCharming punched him in the face without a warning so hard he hurt his own hand. He didn't ask Whale if he broke his nose doing that. All you said was: "Can Charming always wear a gun holster from now on? Pretty please!!!" (btw, I second that motion)
ReplyDeleteBut when it comes to Regina, you expect her to ask, despite her apparent emotional state?
I do find your comments amusing sometimes. :)
I never thought she had an actual "power". I always assumed it was just something she told Henry...
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who thinks Emma and Hook are gonna have a thing? I mean, he's just... WOW and why else would they make him a series regular so fast?
ReplyDeleteGlad to make you smile. :) Although, surely you can see the difference between punching the guy who slept with your wife then still answering his questions, and letting a guy bleed to death in front of you without a single concern for his well being even so far as it helps your own cause?
ReplyDeleteWow,seems like Emma is back to her old self! Its good knowing she still has that in her,but i bet it doesn't last..
ReplyDeleteI cannot understand what Doc and Regina are talking about.Who is alive, monster and whose heart did he take?
My understanding is that the only times she has trouble with her "power"
ReplyDeleteis when she is emotional about things and doesn't look at them
objectively. She wanted to get back to Henry and she's in a
completely new world she doesn't understand...I don't know, but I think
she still has her lie detecty..ness lol.
Oh no!!!!Whale :( Don't kill him off please!!!
ReplyDeleteI knew Emma's lying radar would be working! It just proves she does do magic but still does not believe she can.
ReplyDeleteDaniel Regina's one true love who Cora Killed by taking out his heart and crushing it. Regina saved his body and Dr. Frankenstein placed another of Regina's heart into his body. Obviously using the magic in Storybrooke.
ReplyDeleteNope Emma would not fall for an obvious trickster.
ReplyDeleteSure i know Daniel, but i don't remember Regina saving his body, don't even remember seeing that in an episode? Thanks Phnzgrl!
ReplyDeletePeople apparently took it as an actual 'superpower' rather than just being able to spot a liar or call someone's bluff. Which a lot of people can do a lot better than her.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that Emma isn't as dumb as she has been for the past couple episodes!
ReplyDeleteI added to your up there but now I might not think we're right. Hoping we are though because I just saw an ad for the episode on Sunday and it shows Daniel standing over Henry and Henry is cowering on the ground looking up at him.
ReplyDeleteThat is an expression, has nth to do with movies or cartoons.
ReplyDeleteDaniel with Henry in the promo? I didn't see that... is there another promo somewhere?

had a look at the promo again... unless there's a promo #2, I did not see Daniel with Henry... have I missed something?
ReplyDeleteI second that. No Henry whatsoever.
ReplyDeleteExcept...she's ALWAYS been emotional about things and never looks at anything objectively.
ReplyDeleteWeird thing is we see Daniel's grave in "an apple red as blood". Did regina dig him up again or something before the curse hit. Cos that is kinda disturbing.
ReplyDeleteHe just rolled a 1 on his bluff check that's all
ReplyDeleteYeah, I noticed that too. ReplyDeleteIt was an ad that played while I was watching a show online on CTV.ca. Not a promo.
ReplyDeleteI just ADORE the tone in Emma's voice when she says "You mean Captain Hook." I just imagine that her next statement was "You gotta be freaking kidding me." LOL
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to this ep by a LOT.
"Ah, but you have heard of me!" -Captain Jack Sparrow (;
ReplyDeleteI'm so looking forward to this episode! The Frankenstein aspect seems fantastic! And ya for Emma getting her "sixth senses" back! XD
I agree! -it's Olivia Dunham -esque. She has a sixth sense in certain emotional stated.
ReplyDeleteI think it is an actual power.
ReplyDeleteIf it's an actual power, it's actually terrible and just a useless plot device.
ReplyDeleteAdd in Henry and Graham to that list.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Killian Jones IMO is very Pirates of the Caribbean-esqu. His personality and name alludes to a lot of thing in POTC universe. The character isn't limited to any one persona of Hook or Pirates for that matter IMO.

ReplyDelete::fantasizes about Montand::
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you'll like it! Welcome to the Once gang, 24fan! :D
ReplyDeleteYeah, I guess. I'm not not sure about calling anything a 'power' when it only works when the liar is really, really obvious and suspicious.
ReplyDeleteOr her power only really works on muggles and is ultimately useless :p
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHA. That's great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Darth! : )

ReplyDeleteThe people commented before me took your line seriously, but I suppose your comment is just sarcasm?
