The order also brings back former Walking Dead actors Jon Bernthal and Jeffrey DeMunn, whose characters on the AMC hit were killed off last season. Bernthal stars as Joe Teague, an LAPD cop in pursuit of mobster Mickey Cohen. Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) will play a young lawyer and Teague’s former war buddy who’s being groomed as a mob fixer. The series is based on the book L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America’s Most Seductive City by John Buntin.

Darabont will write and direct the pilot as well as executive produce the series. More to come..

    Read the script for this a few months ago, must say that I wasn't all that impressed by it. Hopefully they'll rework it significantly before it airs.
