“HART OF DIXIE” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET)
“Walkin’ After Midnight ” (TV-PG, L) ( HDTV)

TRICK OR TREAT / KELEN COLEMAN (“THE NEWSROOM”) GUEST STARS — With Halloween right around the corner, Zoe (Rachel Bilson) begins to notice some odd occurrences happening in her home.  She is shocked to discover that the culprit is George (Scott Porter), but she soon realizes that he may have a sleepwalking issue.  Concerned for his safety, they decide to conduct a sleep study, forcing her to cancel her big plans with Wade (Wilson Bethel).  Meanwhile, the Mayoral race between Lavon (Cress Williams) and Ruby (guest star Golden Brooks) is close, and AnnaBeth (guest star Kaitlyn Black) comes up with an unusual plan that may help him clinch the election leaving Lemon (Jaime King) feeling uneasy.   Joe Lazarov directed the episode written by Veronica Becker and Sarah Kucserka (#205).

  1. The season's just started and I'm already fed up with the all triangle thing, can she please choose one of them (I hope it will be wade)
I don't know why but love triangles on tv show are starting to really getting on my nerves

  2. George has a medical condition. Not every interaction has to be "triangle thing." He's a series regular and he and Zoe are going to interact no matter who she's dating.

  3. I love a little Patsy Cline. I am most intrigued by the "big plans with Wade" line. Very exciting.

Am I the only one not liking Ruby for messing stuff up for Lavon?

  4. You're not the only one. She seems to be messing stuff up in general. So far, I am not warming up to her character.

  5. Objectively your argument makes sence, but you know they're gonna make it into a triangle thing.

  6. I'm hoping HoD will grow out of that habit. That's a good way to beat a triangle into the ground rather quickly.

  7. I do think you'll be hoping in vain.
I love the show but I've walked into this fairly aware, that unfortunately, the triangle is where they'll waste most of their energy...

  8. I'm not liking Ruby, period. She's like the new Lemon... which is great for Lemon cause two episodes in the new season and she's finally winning me over (not that it took a whole season or anything... but you know what I mean...)
Having said that I highly doubt my disliking Ruby will change.

  9. I agree with both you guys: it is possible that it's not a triangle thing but the odds of that possibility occurring are very slight. IMO HOD "growing out of it" is partly waiting for the characters to grow out of it. George isn't at a place to have (or not have) a meaningful relationship. And Wade is too insecure to see anything having to do with George as anything but a threat. They have to change, to make decisions on which sides of themselves they want to be. On that level, the writers are using the triangle really successfully for character development and they are paralleling it really well, I especially hope they keep tying it together with more backstory. It is also giving a lot of layers to the George/Wade friendship and possibly the George/Lavon friendship. So for me, it isn't just a who you gonna choose tension device. On the other hand, delayed romances can be tiresome.

Wilson Bethel gave an interview in like July or something that he'd read up through ep 8 and it was all still going strong, so I don't think it will be resolved any time soon.

  10. I agree with you that they have used the triangle romance stuff for some interesting character development especially for Wade (or at least I feel Wilson has been the one who's been working with it the most).
But they need to work through the story a bit better.

I'm thinking when Zoe chooses it will be a big character storyline and development moment for the rejected guy. And my bet here is that George will be her choice and Wade will have to do the growing up.
Cause you know all this talk about her being "hooked" and him having "spoiled her for other men", yeah I have a feeling that will turn around on him like a boomerang. When she picks George, he'll stop sleeping around. Hell I doubt he's sleeping with anyone else while they've been together.

  11. I miss Shelly and Addy already!!! I can't stand Ruby, heck tv is full of such pretentious bimbos, we certainly didn't need another one.
The so called triangle is simply ridiculous, Wade keeps playing the great lover, George has become the most boring option (and i was rooting for him last year), and Zoe.. She was supposed to have a BRAIN, where did it go?! She keeps running after Wade's &^%# like an idiot!!!
I hate saying this, but it's so boring.. It's missing last year's fun somehow.

  12. While I won't hold my breath for any quick resolution, I will cross my fingers and hope that they won't pinpoint their focus on this triangle in every single episode.

  13. I'll cross my fingers with you. I think we stand a good chance that the main story will be medically based and the jealousy side effects will just be a pouty Wade across the pond.

  14. I'm glad HoD is giving Lavon this subplot since I like his character more than any other guy on the show including Wade and George.

  15. Lavon is the BEST!

  16. I liked the Lemon love triange over the Zoe one. Ruby is pretty annoying but so was Lemon and she mellowed out. They need to give Lavon more to do.
