After six seasons, the end of Mark Sloan was a great loss for me as a writer and for the show. And for the fans. I like to believe that Mark is with Lexie somewhere. That those two characters are spending eternity together, getting to have the relationship they were never able to have when they were alive. Because, as Lexie’s dying words told us, she and Mark were “meant to be.”
Mark Everett Sloan died on September 27, 2012. He is survived by his daughter Sofia; his baby mamas, Callie and Arizona; his fellow doctors at Seattle Grace; and every woman who ever imagined what it might be like to have a little McSteamy between her sheets.
He will be missed by all.

Hey, he has a middle name! Don't think we knew that before.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for tonight's episode!
Love it. Tonight's episode I predict will be a 4 box of Kleenex ep.
ReplyDeleteNicely said,it would have been nice if she did the same for Lexie, but she didn't...
ReplyDeleteI know why i stoppped watching this show. Its so ER just with much more drama and Meredith Grey, I still cant stand her. Never could.
ReplyDeleteOk that was nice but he's been around longer that 6 years.
ReplyDeleteNot really, he made one guest appearance in season 2 (and it was in 2006) and he didn't become a full time cast member until season 3, and that was in 2006 also.
ReplyDeletethat was really sweet
ReplyDeleteThat was nice. When Sloan was introduced I never thought I'd end up liking his character as much as I did but his absence is a big loss for the show and me as a fan.
ReplyDeleteI think how she mentioned Callie and Arizona was a little weird, but how else are you going to explain that situation it can't be something like:
ReplyDeleteCallie my best friend who I got pregnant when she was at her lowest point after breaking up with the love of her life, and her wife Arizona whio is a collague whom up until the weeks ago hated my guts cause I slept with her wife.
I think this was nice of Shonda to do. I woud like to see one about Lexie, and George as well.
