    So hard to see Mark so alive knowing what happens. Also, quite surprised that he seems so well. Obviously, things take a turn for the worse, but I would never have expected it from this scene with him. Certainly, going to miss, miss, miss Eric Dane. Though under utilized, he was still my favorite on the show. The show just won't be the same without him and I have much less incentive to watch after this episode.

    - Dang. Callie is really putting herself out on a limb in those first two clips. First she's making an ill-fated promise to Arizona and in the second she's clumsily trying to convince Derek into a much riskier surgery that will put his career on the line. I guess caution isn't her thing at the moment.
    - Damn, I'm going to miss Mark. He was a great addition to Grey's. Eric Dane could be a little hit-and-miss with the heavy dramatic stuff (he really came through in the finale though) but he always nailed the lighthearted fun stuff, which is something this show always needs.

    clear u can see where its heading, the baby brings a germ into the icu and he gets an infection and slips into the coma...

    Right at the end of that scene he sort of gasp's as in shortness of breathe - could have another heart attack or stroke and slip's into a coma before Avery get's back with the baby.

    All hospital's are full of bug's multi resistant germs even in a ICU they aren't immune.

    true, it could come from some other source - but i think as a plot point, avery sneaking in the baby would assign some sort of blame or mental guilt: the kind tv shows love to draw on. death by baby daughter's germs - a pervsely poetic way to kill a character.

    I agree that something may have been happening just as they cut the scene (which may be why they cut the scene where they did). I think they may go with the ever popular pulmonary embolism (sudden onset, oxygen deprivation, limited ability to effectively treat, etc.). They may have something more imaginative in mind, but I won't be surprised if it turns out to be something like this.

    Really, who cared about Lexie? I loved Mark for his relationships with Callie, Jackson and Sophia. Gonna miss him big time.
