Welcome to SpoilerTV's weekly edition of Fringe Friday!

THE BULLET THAT SAVED THE WORLD
Oh God, I never thought this week would end.
But guess what, folks? It's FRINGE FRIDAY!

Yes, I am heinously late once more, my apologies. I will be brief:
It feels really great to have an episode of FRINGE to watch tonight, doesn't it? It's like the calm before the end of the world. Or something slightly less apocalyptic?

Today's topic: Do you have a favorite character? If so, who is it? And please...PLEASE provide loving details and keep things civil!

_______________________________

Well, The Observers are onto our family of rebels and a race to save mankind from their future, balding counterparts is underway. I think this one will be the exciting answer to last week's mostly quiet episode...and instead of focusing on our past, we will continue to delve into this new future... Who suspects that there's a twist coming up that takes this quite simple story (let's rid the world of the Observers through the use of these tapes! With grape licorice!) and turn it on its head once more? I'd be surprised if they kept it this straightforward for the whole season...Keeping in mind though, that there's only a handful of episodes left, so they may just want to tell their story as is. We shall see!

Who's ready to get this Fringe Friday underway! Time to break out the licorice and slush-os!

  2. Happy Fringe Friday Gang! :D

(I think we're going to loose a guess star tonight...although I suspect to see her character again before the series ends)

My favorite character?! That is SO hard. -But I think I'm going to say [Blue] Olivia. I think of all the characters, I relate the most to her with the exception of how she dealt with Etta. I know she cares deeply for humanity, despite not always being able to show her emotions, but I think she has a destiny that goes far beyond herself and I hope she is able to find what's missing and/or have a happier ending.

Walter would be my runner up. He's so charismatic and truly the most emotional character on the show. He is the one that can make you cry and laugh only seconds apart.

September would be my 3rd. I just have a fantasy that he should be my butler!

Then Peter, Nina, Etta, Blue Lincoln, Red Olivia, David Robert Jones, blue Astrid, Red Charlie Frances and William Bell make my list.

Secondary or one shot faves are: Nick Lane, Simon Foster, August, John Mosley, Sam Weiss Christine Hollis, Aaron, Mona Foster, and Jessica Holt!

  3. Happy Fringe Friday everyone!! Finally a new episode!!!!
Well, favorite character has to be Walter. I'm not sure if it's because he is both crazy and lovely. His relationship to Peter is the basis of the show (and now, coming full circle, Peter and Olivia's relation to Etta, making the show once again about parenthood). I don't really know why I like him so much (it might be John Noble's amazing acting) but I'll miss seeing him on my screen when the show ends.
Peter is a close second, in a way. I have to admit that, being a Pacey fan, seeing Joshua Jackson back on tv was one of the main reasons I started watching Fringe. And I just love Polivia and the new adition to the family.
But I love them all, so it's hard to choose... and I miss the redverse. I really hope we get to see AltLivia and OurLincoln again (this is just my hope speaking, as I'm sure it won't happen)

  4. Thanks for the playlist! Delightful :)

My favourite character is Walter because he's the one that made me feel the story (both in bad and good times). I And also because when I made my very first GIF he was the subject. So, he brought me luck :-)

  5. Butler...LMAO! You just made my night! A time-traveling, interdimensional, follicly challenged, mind-reading, manservant. He'd be able to get you anything you could ever possibly want. Well except a lock of his hair that is.

  6. Wow where do I even start?

    Favorite character.

    IMPOSSIBLE

I love Walter because he is like the crazy uncle I never had but always wished I did. He can be so lovable in his childlike wonder. He has a heart for the people around him even if he tries to hide it. His love of all things psychedelic, and errr medicinal is fun. His taste in music is very much like mine, and the way he can be slightly devilish at times too is somehow adorable.

Peter is the everyman, the guy who can do almost anything. He is the go-to guy for all your electronic rigging needs. He knows something about just about everything. His courage in the face of world shattering events is unparalleled. He seems to want to be a great father and shows throughout the series that he has that potential, but tragically that was taken away from him too quickly. If there was one guy in the world I'd want to be more like I would pick Peter.

Olivia is awesome! She is not only beautiful in her appearance, but in her heart as well. Her ability to empathize with anyone in almost any situation is her greatest ability by far, not to discount all the other superhero abilities she has exhibited in the past. Her reluctance to put herself before others is honorable almost to a fault.

Astrid is like this lovable, huggable, little sister that is always there to give a helping hand. She is so underappreciated by almost everyone (character-wise), but that doesn't seem to stop her. She is hilarious at times, and more times than not the voice of reason in this wacky group of heroes.

Broyles is the quintessential uptight boss guy, but not like most in procedural shows. He has a heart for his people but he also has to make the tough decisions.

Nina is cool. She just has this air about her that no situation is too weird or too tough to handle. She is business smart, street smart, and of course intellect smart as well. She's a good person to know in a pinch.

September is one of my most favorite characters. Yes he is an Observer, but he is like Rudolph the red nosed Observer. He is a one of a kind in a race of so many clone-like people. For a guy with no facial expressions he sure does know how to convey his emotions.

Etta has the beauty of her mother and the wit of her father. She is hot-headed like Walter can be too. I don't really know much about her but of what I know I like her.

I could go on all night about the other secondary and tertiary characters but I'll spare y'all the essay, plus it is now 10 minutes till showtime so I must get ready for the show!

See ya on the other side!

  8. Happy Fringe Friday everyone!! This episode looks soooo good - can't wait to see it!!

Favourite character - can't pick between Walter and Olivia. Walter is just fantastic. By no means perfect, but he loves his son and he has the ability to see the wonder in the little things. Not to mention his way with words (vagenda!). He's brilliant but fallible and there are times when you want to give him a big, squishy hug.

Olivia is another who needs a big hug most of the time. Loyal and selfless - she's also brilliant and determined. She's got her demons but when she's happy, she puts her heart and soul into it. I hope we'll be able to see happy Liv in season 5.

Special mention to Elizabeth and Eliznate Bishop - brilliant mother and person (that Eliznate/Walter scene is still one of my faves) - also Orla Brady is amazing! And September - underneath that unreadable exterior beats a big heart.

  10. September: The boyfriend that was not meant to be is at the door for date night.

September: I had to travel two universes to find dry cleaning open at this hour.

    September: Happy Birthday!
Laura: Uh, thanks, but what is it?
September: A "home made" particle accelerator.
