Richard Castle is going to start 2013 with a full house!

Scandal's Darby Stanchfield will reprise her role as Castle's ex-wife Meredith in a January episode of ABC's Castle, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. And much to the chagrin of Castle (Nathan Fillion), she'll make herself right at home.

Meredith comes to town to take her daughter Alexis (Molly Quinn) to Europe. But when Alexis falls ill with mono, Meredith moves into Castle's loft to take care of her. As if that wasn't bad enough, Castle will also be hosting his new girlfriend Beckett (Stana Katic), whose apartment is being fumigated.

Can Castle handle all three women at once? Doubtful, but it should be hilarious and all kinds of awkward to watch him try.

    Kate living at castle for a few days that's awesome !!!
    I'm happy that they bring back his ex wife but I hope that she won't flirt with castle too much, or it'll get on my nerves very quickly, she has to respect his new relationship
    A little tease is enough just to make kate jealous, but not too much please

    Not that I'm not interested in the episode, far from it, I just don't want Meredith to temporary live in Castle's home. What I don't like here is the fact that Castle will allow it. It seems as if he doesn't have any respect for Kate. I mean, how would any of us feel if our boyfriend's/girlfriend's ex stayed in their place, even if that's just temporary?

    I see your point, I wouldn´t exactly enjoy it... but Alexis is sick and she´s her mother, so I think he doesn´t have much choice. Can you imagine Alexis´s reaction if he didn´t let her mother, who she rarely sees, be with her when she´s sick?

    She could stay in a hotel, or rent an apartment and come visit Alexis. . But it's not ok to let here stay there. Lots separated people come visit their children, I doubt their exes
    allows them to stay in their place, especially if they're in a new
    committed relationship. No, I'm sticking to my opinion. :)

    Oh, I was hoping for some time for Meredith's return so I'm quite happy. I've always found her more interesting than Gina. She's like a hurricane but fun to watch. And I'm sure she won't be any threat to Caskett. I'm looking forward to this episode, Castle with Meredith, Martha, Alexis and Kate must be hilarious and awkward.

    At first I didn't like it either. But since I liked Meredith and this sounds more funny than dramatic, I'm looking forward to it. And Meredith is rather insisting person, I think she would wanna stay at Castle's loft as much for her daughter as for herself to see how serious is Caskett relationship.
