Working off his debt to O’Banion (Arron Shiver), Van Alden (Michael Shannon) attends a meeting with Capone (Stephen Graham) and Torrio (Greg Antonacci); later, after a workplace meltdown, he considers Sigrid’s (Christiane Seidel) case for staying put versus resuming a life on the lam. With help from Gaston Means (Stephen Root), Nucky pays an unscheduled visit to Andrew Mellon (James Cromwell), offering the Treasury Secretary a recommendation and a business proposal. Margaret (Kelly Macdonald) makes a stand on birth control; Nucky and Owen (Charlie Cox) shop for a birthday pony; Billie (Meg Chambers Steedle) eyes a future on the silver screen, to Nucky’s chagrin.

  2. This rest of this season seems to be setting up an "everyone against Gyp" scenario. I'm sure I'll be sick and tired of Gyp Rosetti by then. That character is already wearing out his welcome with me.

  5. No I am being a little facetious...

I literally think season 3 is a dream. He is trying to justify killing Jimmy or not. -To be gypped, or not to be gypped, that it the question.

  7. Sorry. I wasn't trying to write you book, I was justifying the my viewpoint. What good is it if I make that kind of a statement and not back it up? Those are the reasons why I do enjoy the shows, because the writers have taken the time to go deeper. They are compelling dramas with deep subtext. I do think Dexter is dreaming too, but the difference is for Dexter we have never seen the actual reality and for Boardwalk Empire it's only a certain amount of time. (It's not like Terrence Winters didn't partake as writer in the Sapprano's where Tony was in a coma having a dream). I think a lot of people under estimate what is actually in front of them, so I feel compelled to explore the possibility of it.
