Not a surprise about Animal Practice, but come on! I wanted Community to replace it.
ReplyDeleteNoooooo! Community should have replaced it. :(
ReplyDeleteThey should never have renamed the monkey. xD
ReplyDeleteNo surprises at all
ReplyDeletemy guess is Community will replace 30 Rock or Up all Night soon enough
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think that too but I feel it could have done better on Wednesday rather than back on Thursday with so much competition.
ReplyDeleteTyler Labine can't catch a break with a TV show. Reaper got two seasons but it was essentially cancelled the minute CW decided to hold the 2nd season off until the spring of that TV season.
ReplyDeleteI believe Labine has had shows on every broadcast network (UPN also) cancelled
Replacing Animal Practice with Whitney? Isn't that like replacing A-Rod with Curtis Granderson in the Yankees lineup?
ReplyDeleteAs much as I hate Whitney it is better suited to Guys with Kids.
ReplyDeleteNow I hope Justin Kirk gets a decent show to be in, so talented and yet wasted in the last seasons of Weeds and on rubbish like this.
it's NOT Soon enough
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, poor Tyler Labine. None of his shows ever seem to last, which is really sad.
ReplyDeleteNot like Community or Whitney would be rating saviors for NBC...
ReplyDeleteYeah, but at least Community has an extremely dedicated fanbase with a very large online presence.
ReplyDeleteFair warning there are explitaves in what I'm about to say.
ReplyDeleteMy initial response to this was "You've got to be fucking kidding me!" said loudly enough that it echoed in my room. Who the hell... why in the... where... how many people is Whitney sleeping with to get her piece of shit show back on the air before Community? I just... I have no respect for NBC anymore, none, it's gone.
I'm thankful that Community does NOT end up on Wednesdays with Guys with Kids. Whitnery is filling that slot, good for them I guess. At least now it's a one-hour block of cheap multicamera comedy crap, and that's it — not that single-camera Animal Practice was any good, I couldn't watch beyond 10 minutes into ep 2.
ReplyDeleteCommunity has a better future ahead, and now it can only mean Thursdays instead of Up All Night (any time soon ?) or 30 Rock (in January when the series is finished).
I'm blasé enough by NBC's treatment of Community that I don't even mind waiting until January if the show returns in its Thursday 8pm slot. Hell, since 1600 Penn and Save Me will bomb, maybe NBC could order a few more episodes - after all, Chuck season 3 premiered in January 2010 and NBC ordered 6 more episodes.
Will that help in the LIVE 18-49 demo?
ReplyDeleteNo but the only thing I see about Whitney is how much people hate it. Community is so loved by it's fans - more so than any other show I watch. Whitney is a failure in the demo too - I don't see why they chose it above Community.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised but not happy I liked this show. I feel bad for Johanna her shows don't seem to last long and I love her.
ReplyDeleteIf Community took this slot, people would be complaining about the compatibility of Guys with Kids and Community. A multicam and a single cam.
ReplyDeleteNBC needs to do something with it's Weds and Thursdays. It's being BEATEN by the CW for god's sake!
As bad and as low-rated as Animal Practice was (I gave up after 3 episodes) it still doesn't suck as bad as Whitney.
ReplyDeleteI agree- going up against The Middle, or better yet, The Neighbors, could be really good for Community & it's definitely a better show than Whitney & I too feel sorry for Joanna, but to possibly have her as Ariel? That's awesome! I hadn't heard about that :)
ReplyDeletewhy do you want Community to go back to 8 on Thursday? I feel like, if it didn't have to contend with TBBT, which never gets *less* than 12 mil & averaged 15 mil last season, then it might do better
ReplyDeleteI think they're holding off Community for mid-season. In the long run, it probably bodes better for the show instead of NBC just using it as a filler to plug a hole, as Whitney is doing here.
ReplyDeleteLOL...both A-Rod and Curtis were benched today in game 4 in the sweep by Detroit, lol...☺....
ReplyDeletei heard that the monkey was a female monkey, lol...☺....
ReplyDelete:( I don't get it. (sorry)
ReplyDeletewell, in the show wasnt the monkey suppose to be male?....the way it was talked to, the clothes it wore...to me it was a male.....but then i find out now that it was actually a female monkey....thats all i meant by my comment...☺...,
ReplyDeleteWow... After watching the trailer and the pilot episode, I was sure this was gonna be a hit... Man, I am really not keeping up with ratings this season... I hate that I've not been able to find time :(
ReplyDeleteI just laughed. Couldn't help it. They cancel that dreadful show... and replace with an equally dreadful one???
