And the woman who will play Taye Diggs’ mother this fall is…Alfre Woodard!

EW has learned exclusively that the veteran actor who is set to play Ouiser in Lifetime’s remake of Steel Magnolias will guest star on the ABC drama as Bennett’s (Diggs) mom. Her episode will air in November.

    I like these "centric" episodes ideas. I think I will enjoy some of them much more than others though (I am not eager for this Sam one for instance), but I think it will be really nice to see the PP we know through the eyes of these characters

    I also hope not, but I don't see any other thing happening to be honest. I don't see Shonda having her end up with Jake, and getting a third person at this point would just be stupid, so I think she will have her ending up with Jake

    I loathe Sam, so honestly not looking forward to any of his storylines. I really hope Addison chooses Jake.
