    I think the phone call is going to be about Mark's death, tbh. That's gotta be a sucky phone call to get when you're already at a funeral!

    I agree about the phone call seen in the preview klutzy_girl. This will definitely pave the way for Addison to return to Grey's Anatomy. Call me crazy but I have been reading too much buzz about her return to GA.

    Also Idk if that is the funeral, I mean ofc Pete is dead...but the clothes? It'd be much more appropriate for us to assume that it's a celebration (per press release) of Charlotte's triplets, lol. And the episode looks AMAZING, with Birdy's music and all...Why didn't they mention that it's a big 100th?!

    they did mention it! in previous articles!
    they said a lot of emotions where going to take place in this episode! and mostly the whole epi will be taken place outside the practice!

    Phone call about the plane crash and they have found them alive, then the harsh Mark isn't doing so well, or the sorry to tell you but Mark has died, could be either and wonder who call's Addie? Will it be Derek or Webber? Guess she will also have to break the new's to Amelia as well definately paving the way for both of them to go to Seattle.

    this looks amazing. it will really cost me to loose this show. But I really dont want it to go on after Kate leaves if it looses quality and, more importantly than that, I think the ratings would not allow it to continue for much longer, meaning that sooner rather than later it would be canceled, instead of ending on its own terms, with the other characters storylines not being properly wrapped up. This way it's better. Can't wait for this episode, I LOVE private practice!

    I don't think that someone would call Addison to tell her that Mark and Derek were involved in a plane crash. No one called her when there was the shooting or when Derek adopted Zola or Mark had a child. The show's aren't connected in that kind of way, I think.

    Also, as far as I know, Eric Dane will still appear in the second episode of S9, which will air two days after this PP's episode, so they can't possibly call Addison about his death, can they? They wouldn't show him dead the whole episode, I think,

    They called Addison after the shooting, she mentione it at the beggining of season 4 I think, when she was trying to convince Amelia to go back to Seattle to make up with Derek. I think they will indeed call her. At this point I don't see what else could it be, and honestly, I am quite happy that the shows are connected in this way ;)

    I disagree :p Have you seen the latest Shonda interviews? She confesses that the way she wanted Mark to exit would have been to run off with Addison, but that she ultimately gave up on that because it would cut Addison's journey short and it would feel cheap to have Mark leaving his daughte and Callie. She likes them together anyway so she will have Addison mourn him.
