Yeah, HG FTW!!! \m/ It would be interesting to know where the story heads now that more people are in the knowhow! Artie should not tell anyone... he inadvertently do. He has already created some evil too. Going back will create the same problem all over again... man this story is practically up its notch as to what would really be the way out of paradox.
I've a feeling that the more the agents the more saner they can remain (as a family... you know), balancing each others' sanity.
May be in future, events turning will cause Claudia to become new Mrs Fredrick... which in turn would keep Jinks immortal (Until they both die of age of their choosing). Pete has that new agent as family and Myka gets her love (may be next they will get a male agent for her). Warehouse 13 keeps its cycle and it will end on a happy note.
Alas many times write don't go like we imagine... may be more messy the situation will become and all happy happy go down the drain, :P
The further they get into the season..... the more I worry that Artie is going to have to us the Astrolabe- to reverse everything. I could be wrong, but it seems like the more peeps who know, the more things seems to spin outta control. I just hope I'm wrong.
I like the idea of her being a Regent, but I don't want her and Pete t'gether.
Was about time HG showed up again.... she's one smart cookie..... can't put anything past her or Mrs. Fredrick!
So when Artie didn't knock out Brother Data before turning to check on Claudia I thought to myself...'he's getting soft in is old age.' When he took Claudia's "okay we'll back off' at face value I was certain. :-D
Thanks to the promos..I'm convinced Pete's vibe are wrong about the new girl. But if not, I think she'll be a fun Regent.
Glad HG is back and really pleased the first thing she did was fill someone with authority in on what she surmises is going on BEFORE she talked to Artie.
I'm still not sure about this astrolabe story. But at least this episode reigned it back in and got down to the crux of that story; finding a way to avoid having to reverse everything. I have to say though the fact that the Brother is so completely intractable makes that character a little less interesting than he could be. He's become such a black and white villain. I'm not hating it or anything I just think it would be more interesting if I could see his side of the situation. I'd like to be wondering if maybe he was right and Artie is wrong. But as it stands...it's really simple...Artie will out in the end.
Pretty solid episode. I've been more entertained and pleased with the quality of the episodes this season than several episodes in past seasons. I hope WH13 keeps up this level of quality for the rest of this season's episodes.
I giggled with delight/amusement each time the show mentioned South Bend, IN. I'm sure many others who recognize the town (and are fans, alumni, townies, etc.) would do the same. I wonder if South Bend's Travel/Tourism dept. got officials to pay to get so many mentions on the show? Or does someone behind the show have a connection to the city? Either way, thanks WH13 for the small moments of delight!
Does it make anyone else slightly nervous that they recruit Regents like this? "Here's a job, want it?" I would think they should select new Regents from someone who is already an agent, and has shown great character and judgement from being an agent for years, or with special "powers" like Capt Janeway and Pete's vibes or Jinks' lie-detector abilities (again, special powers + great moral/judgement system).
It was great how Myka being smart and being able to handle the artifact retrieval herself (no 'woman-needing-a-hero' thing). I also liked how Pete showed that he is smart and has great judgment, morals, and ability to see wide-ranging and future implications of actions (ie, his 'plea' to the new girl to keep the warehouse a secret). Lastly, it was great to see HG back again, being the ever-so-clever gal who figured out straight away that Marty used the astrolabe. Now, please keep HG good and helping out the team, not going all "world-destroyer" on us.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I loved it.
ReplyDeleteFINALLY, HG RETURNS. And she knows about the astrolabe. And so does Mrs. Fredrick. It's exciting that more people know about what happened, now.
The new girl really annoyed me at first, but I kind of got used to her by the end of the episode.

Summary: great episode. I really enjoyed it.
