  1. I loved it so much! I like the way Shonda plotted this out.

So glad Addison chose Jake! Suck on that, Sam. I like his new girlfriend, though.

And holy fuck, Charlotte and Cooper! I called her being pregnant and I thought twins as soon as Addison and Charlotte shockingly looked at the ultrasound, but I wasn't expecting triplets! Holy fuck, they're having triplets! OH MY GOD. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS. OH MY GOD. DAMN, COOPER. A+ SPERM.

Aw, Pete. I'm sad Shonda killed him off. Forever bitter they fired Tim like that.

    Amazing start to the season!

  2. Ok first of all TRIPLETS REALLY?!! damn that sucks for a person that has no interest in kids lmfao!
So i knew she would pick Jake but im not happy about it. Still think Addi should be w/ Sam
Damn really Shonda just killed Pete, must say Amy's reaction was awesome so detached and yet consumed.
Yay Ameilia made it a year no drugs keep up the good work!!!

  3. Simply perfect, really couldn't have been better, even though it has been kinda anticlimatic even with Pete's death looming all over LA -- I'd say good riddance and that it's kind of a low blow nad meh solution for Shonda to re-use his heart attack from last year -- he should've died back then. The way they divided the episode between certain characters and time-spans was kinda chaotic but clever...and made the episode go by even faster than usual...which only made me want more, but let's run it all down!

So first off....Team Jake won, fuck yeah! I was rooting so much for them from the very beginning and I'm so glad that Addison finally made the right choice and looked so happy, even though they might've been a few gaps here and there (I mean mainly the particular scenes -- I'd like to see her turning Sam down or breaking up with him). But I can't express how glad I am. And the speech Jake gave to her even though they were already together only cemented it all for me, it was like he was reading my mind.

Then we've got Cooper and his Michael Phelps worms, huh? That lucky bastard. They're having triplets, lol! The last scene between them was hilarious, just as Mason wondering if they're doing "IT".

Amelia, sober for a year now, so proud of this girl -- we didn't have that much stuff with her...Though again another awesome, heart-warming speech to no one other than Sheldon, who she'll owe for the rest of her life, awwh, I want them to be together so bad, but...

Wait, what is up with Sheldon? Is he the next one heading straight to AA? And with his ex-wife on the horizon, I'm worried....But pretty awesome character developement after...4 years, lol.

And then we've got Violet, whom (more like Amy maybe) I actually love and she doesn't annoy me...And the way she took the news about Pete's death and broke it to Coop...astonishing, awesome speech and acting courtesy of Ms. Brenneman!

And LOL way to move on Sam, but good for him even though the nurse will never be able to measure up/compare to Addison, but they weren't right together to begin with, with him being the ex-husband of her best-friend, so...Yep.

Also the episode reminded me of the first season so much, Idk why! But it makes me feel worried that it really might be the last season, but....all in all, amazing way to start off the season really, I loved the music, the acting, the hilarious lines and scenes, speeches...and the directing, AWESOME. The theme-music this year is kinda quirky and different, but that's a plus. Also another reason for my first-season vibe feeling is probably Charlotte being tested at the Practice (remember how she was sick back in S1?) -- and the scene between her and Sheldon reminded me that they once were a thing, lol! Could you believe it. So much stuff has changed even in the last year...but I'd say for good. PP is back, baby! And it's better than ever.

  4. i knew addie was going to pick Jake!
i can't stand Sam so i'm really happy he wasn't chosen by her
agggg Shonda! seriously? do you know any other way to write a character out than just killing them off?
though it was kind obvious he was going to die, given the spoilers we got a while back!

i watched the epi without subtitles so i didn't quite undestand why Charlotte was refusing to be pregnant? just because she didn't want kids?

i loved the episode! Violet's reaction to Pete's death was unexpected, she was in shock! and so was I!
really thought she would tear apart infront of Cooper but she didn't!
wonder how she's gonna deal with this!

  5. Episode was perfect with the exception of the way they got rid of Pete... would have preferred they wrote him of being in jail.

I take it he left on bad terms?

  6. Shonda Rhimes does NOT know how to write characters off her shows without killing them. There's so many possibilities for how to send a character away and she always chooses to kill them. Especially stupid because there was already a reason for him to leave (the whole going to jail thing). It gets really unrealistic and takes me completely out of the story when a character dies every season.

  7. So in this Episode I was happy and sad at the same time. I am still really sad that Pete wont be back on PP, he was a great character!! But I am happy that Addison chose Jake, finally! Also happy for Charlotte and Cooper, uhm yes triplets wow.;)) Anyway I am very happy for them.:) And I am proud for Amelia!:))

  8. Well what was she supposed to do with a character who is married and has a kid with another main character on the show? She could've send him to prison and then hope the show doesn't get renewed past Kate Walsh's final 13 episodes. But that would be ridiculous when we all know Pete/Tim Daly is no longer part of the show and no matter what happens, renewed her not, Pete will never come back. It's ok. It was sad and I don't understand why thety had to get rid of Tim in the first place. But the way the story was told was ok for me.

  9. I liked it a lot. The new format is interesting although I hope they won't keep it like that for every single episode. It could annoying after a while. But it's nice for a special episode or a season opener or season finale. It worked well.
I am so happy Addison picked Jake. They are so good together and he brings out qualities I really missed in Addison. The funny, humorous site especially. The scene were she tried to describe the butterflies he was giving her was hilarious. And I liked the first scene very much, when he woke up at her place and she gave Henry to him. The baby is so cute and they make a wonderful little family. I hope Shonda Rhimes leaves them alone now and Addison can have some mostly undisturbed happiness with her new little family.

  10. Shonda fired Tim Daly by telling him through his manager.

  11. Private Practice is supposed to be a TV show. Not a soup. With a soup, when there is little of it, you can add water and potatoes, and make do. PP's lack of real story in the first episode is not fixed by doing a fake Rashamon, and telling the same thing 2/3 times to fill the 45 minutes.
Rashamon only works when the different POV adds to the story and reveal new details. It's not supposed to be a filler for lack of story.

It was an expected disaster. For the Rashamon to work needs really great writers. PP doesn't have them any more.

  12. I think you meant Soap not Soup ;)

  13. Loved this episode!

Glad that Addison was smart enough to go for Jake instead of Sam!!!

Loved Mason's reaction to Cooper's "what about a sibling" conversation... can't wait until Mason finds out that C&C made triplets hahaha! That was a (funny) shock! Just had a feeling something like that would happen. Charlotte not wanting kids, ends up with three infants hahaha!

Pretty sure that Sheldon has an STD which he clearly got from his ex Laura. The way he looked at those roses and the heavy drinking at the same time clearly showed that he wasn't so in love with his ex Laura anymore hehe.

While I was never a big fan of Pete... why didn't just Shonda wrote the story of him being in jail? Geez even the idea of Pete running to El Salvador would have made a better story than once again killing off yet another character on one of her shows? When someone leaves it doesn't always mean they died, no many different possibilities could have made sense in this situation...

  14. This was amazing. This show will never get the credit it deserves. I loved the new format, so refreshing. Also, all the acting was top-notch, everyone is just very good at their roles. I cannot tell how happy I am that Addison picked Jake, I never thought that would happy. This is one of those instances in which I thought the cliffhanger was very poor because it was just obvious she was going with Sam seeing how we had a build up from the last 3 seasons, but hey, she did pick Jake, I am very happy with that. Also even though I still hate that they got ride of Tim Daly, I like what they did here with Pete and Violet. I was shocked at the end when he died, but this will allow for very good scenes from Violet. Amy killed in in her scene with Cooper in which she tells him Pete is dead. Also enjoyed a lot of the Charlote-Cooper moments, Cooper was really fun tonight, he was so happy that she was pregnant. Curious about the Sheldon storyline. I don't exactly want him and Amelia together. She is my fav character after Addison and I never cared for him, but I will like to see her standing by him this time around, not in a romantic way. Only thing I disliked was the new girlfriend they gave Sam. So random. But excellent episode, well done PP. (I still hope it goes out with a bang and ends after these 13, and the ratings seem to agree with me)

  15. Just watched the eisode, have to say I am so glad that Addison picked Jake
Can't believe that Charlotte King is having triplets
Lastly have to say I was disappointed that they killed Pete off
    Overall the episode was great

  16. I agree with everything you posted. This was a great episode. I hope Private Practice stays this upbeat for the remainder of the season/series. Very entertaining!

  17. I agree with much of your post. The only points I did not agree with were in the last parts of your post. I actually like Sheldon a lot. He's endearing, dependable, and gives great advice imo. Also, I like Sam's new girlfriend so far. She's strong, has personality, seems to be a kickass nurse, and not just another skinny-model and/or bimbo.

Just wanted to share my opinions on some characters. I'm not purposefully trying to be contrary. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the episode! :)

  18. Hey. Nice to see your opinions. No worries about disagreeing. About Sheldon, it's not that I don't like the character, it's just that I never cared much for him. I agree with all those qualities he has, and in real life, he sure as hell would be someone I would like to stick around, but I never cared about him that much as a character. Besies, I hate the way they have introduced him, first screwing with Violet, then with Charlotte. It's those kinds of things that take the credit away from PP and make a lot of people disregard the show and the seriousness with which it deals with a lot of issues. But that's another point! As for the nurse, well, I can see why you liked her, but I just felt that she was just there to make a point. Dunno how to explain, just didnt click with me. Maybe i will change my opinion later though, who knows.

  19. Oh my gosh, COOPER. He's got some serious swimmers haha... I'm not thrilled about Shonda killing off Pete. I wasn't exactly fond of him the last year or so, but he didn't need to die. That seems to be Shonda's answer every time she needs to write a character off though, doesn't it? Yikes.

I loved the format of this episode, though I don't know that I'd love it for an entire season. We'll see.
