  1. I loved it! It was a great premiere.

Marvin is adorable! LOL at sleep deprived!Lily and Marshall. That was hilarious.

Wasn't expecting Robin to be already be dating Nick, but I liked him.

I knew Barney kept all his stuff from his relationship with Robin! And he's already having doubts about his relationship with Quinn.

I love that Quinn was pissed about Barney lying to her.

And I love Klaus. Can he please stay?

Also, holy shit at the end. I was kinda expecting it, but that was still a surprise.

  2. The ending was one of the most awesome moments in the history of the show. I was so excited, so thrilled to see the mother. OH MY GOD, PLEASE KEEP IT IN THAT LEVEL! I don't care if there are gonna be 8 or 9 seasons, I just want to watch my beloved show... and this episode: purely epic, above every level of awesomness.

  3. I loved this episode it was more than I expected before the episode I was a little iffy on the B/R part of the episode and how much we'll get of them but man that last scene was just perfect and amazing and sad Robin's clearly still in love with Barney and so is he. He was thinking of her in the cab it was obvious. They really love each other!
Poor Marshall and Lily I was laughing at their situation but it was funny cause being sleep deprived is serious stuff and they were completely out of it.
I really do like Victoria I like her and Ted but know they aren't going to last but it's really a nice relationship they have but it won't last and that's sad cause Victoria was the best girlfriend he's had.
Great episode, I loved every bit of it minus the Quinn stuff and i'm glad she's pissed at Barney I would too cause he's clearly still in love with Robin.

it was very enjoyable and i gotta admit i got a little excited at end! finally some progress! can't wait to meet the mother!
and even though both Barney and Robin were having doubts about marrying each other, they still get married right? i got a little worried tbh

  7. Eh, it was okay. The ending was 100% expected, so absolutely no surprise there. As always, hate B/R. But that's going to be in every episode, so no surprise there either. Favorite part of the episode by far was Lily and Marshall's sleep-deprivation. Very funny.

  8. Oh my gosh, FINALLY. It only took 7 seasons, but I'm SO glad we finally saw the mother's face. All in all, I think my favorite parts of the episode were Marshall and Lily.

  9. It was another disappointment like only How I Met Your Mother could produce. I didn't mind the speech at the end to Ted, it actually made sense and I enjoyed Ted's reaction. But again we are left with a storyline that will not make any progress or be built on until the finale, if there is infact another season added. I really hope this is the last season so I can get excited for the rest of this season.

Don't understand the Barney/Robin dynamic, but that seems to be more me then the quality of the storyline. I do like the idea of it not being a cookie/cutter ending between the two of them, and something does happen to stop the wedding.

Marshall and Lilly were hilarious. Going to be tough to write for them but they're the two strongest actors by a mile.

  10. Yep, no worries - they do actually get married :)

  11. I really liked the ep. It wasn't a lot of laughs for me and a lot of it was predictable, but the heart stuff really worked. Ted and the running groom, what we found out about the Mother and Barney's storage locker. Loved all of that. The only element that I think is going to take me some time to get used to is Lily and Marshall and the baby. The sleep deprivation gag felt overused to me.

  12. The premiere was okay, a couple of funny moments. Good to see some progress with the mother, so now we know where and when they meet. Looking forward to the final season of this show!

  13. Except something doesn't happen to stop the wedding. Barney and Robin still get married, which Craig Thomas has said in multiple interviews.

  14. Which is idiotic on so many levels in my opinion. Removing myself from what I would like to happen, and just dealing with the fact that we know what happens for two of the major storylines this season. Ugh

  15. I voted okay. The Marshall/Lily plot was very annoying and I'm not a fan of all the other relationships.

And I really HATE when they're trying to talk German, ugh. Why does it always have to be German?

  16. Wow! I just don't know when is that moment in the future when Ted meets the Mother on Farhampton station..does it happen' 10 years after Barney's and Robin's wedding or when?

    ReplyDelete
  17. pretty sure it was immediately after the wedding as Ted related both stories

  18. I liked it.

But I'd love to have Subtitles while they talked in German. I'm German, and I only understood like 1/3 of the stuff Klaus said, because it was such a bad accent and you could hear that Klaus wasn't really German.

  19. Me too, I guess the actor was actually American with some German experience, because I can't think of any german-speaking country with that kind of accent. The word he said wasn't even a real word...

  20. It was a great episode. The thing with How I Met Your Mother is that it is never bad. At this point, it is not a show I laugh with a lot. However, I am so invested in the characters that I still enjoy the show a lot, even though it has surpassed the definition of comedy or sitcom or whatever you want to call it. I am not like crazyly looking forward to see it anymore, but I always have a good time when I do. I loved the Robin stuff at the end, really enjoyed the Barney recap scene and loved the final montage with Band of Horses playing and the mother showing up. I think she will be Barney's half-sister, which would be okay for me. Nice start for the season ;)

  21. Great! Gosh, I want to know more about the wedding!!!

  22. I'm with you. The whole episode was telegraphed, there were no real surprises, and most of the jokes fell flat. I was not pleased at all with this premiere.

  23. I thought it was pretty poor. It didn't make me laugh once and the characters have become more annoying than anything. I really hope this is the last season, because although I won't stop watching as I want to find out what happens, I'm not enjoying it like I used to.

  24. Similar feelings. A, I think it was a mistake for the producers to come out and blatantly say nothing happens to stop the wedding. Spoiler, much? But I've always been impressed with the originality of this show, and everything just reeks of cliche with Barney and Robin. OMG they both have commitment issues, drink scotch, smoke cigars, and have daddy-issues? SO interesting. WHAT a pair (she says sarcastically). Seriously though, such a cheap/trite decision.
