I like this show quite a bit, much more than I would've thought. Hope it sticks around. I agree with someone I read somewhere that said its got a Community vibe, maybe that's why I like it so much.
This show is here to stay for sure. In these first few episodes, new and interesting characters are introduced. In last night's, we learned more about Ryan's coworder, Steven. And the Mexican gardener with a big heart, and a talent for building colorful fountains. This episode was very well-done, and very sweet, with the gang coming to his house in the middle of the night to support him. I really like how Laura Benanti is playing her role as comedienne, and not sex figure. She does remind me of the Community girls, Gillian and Alison. I voted Awesome!
I like the office group more than the trying to be wacky therapy group, but it was still fun. I loved all the Porsche jokes. It should totally do that!
Really enjoying it, I am glad that Steve met the support group because it means the two separate stories are connected now, plus I just want to see more John Cho as he is awesome.
Laughed a whole lot at the dead wife incense plate bit.
Loved it again! This show is a winner! Thank god for the early launch or i would not have checked it out and would missing out. It is not laugh out loud show, but it has sooo much heart, I love it. The last 5 minutes were really "cute" (I cant find a better word) and sweet. Also, Matthew Perry is a formidable actor, no doubt about that!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI love this show! New favorite fall TV show, tbh. Really hope this works out for Matthew Perry.

ReplyDeleteI like the dynamic at the office as well. The "I need a hug" joke was the best gag in the episode.
