    Interesting fact, Stana Katic wearing only a shirt looks a lot better in HD.

    I liked the fact that they're still Castle and Beckett. When he went over to her place to explain himself, that entire conversation was so them, it just had more meaning.

    Their flirting was cute and it was fun seeing Beckett just having fun. The ending when she grabbed him gave me a chuckle. Ahh this is going to be a good season.

    Their dynamic hasn't changed, it's just evolved. It's Caskett 2.0.

    Amazing episode tonight! So glad it's back for another season! Can't wait for next week's episode. Will be interesting to see how long Castle and Beckett can keep their relationship from their coworkers.

    totally agree, i just keep replaying that scene, so well done
    It was one of the best episode, loved caskett
    But I wish that we saw them kissing, but we'll have that all season so i can't really be disappointed on that
    About her mom's murder, what a twist, it was excellent, it must have been hard for to let him go
    Can't wait for next week, it seems it's gonna be even better

    Oh Beckett's gonna have so much more fun now that she can mercilessly tease Castle with stradling a motorcycle in tight black leather, icecubes, popping extra buttons on her shirt, tattoos and navel piercings. Oh and grabbing *him* in the Elevator.

    The writing on this show is just so sharp ... loved it.
    Caskett ... worth the wait, all 4 years of it :)
    Oh yeah and um ... damn you Martha, damn you so hard.
    And the strained bromance betweek Ryan and Esposito is perfectly done.
    Can't wait for Lanie to show up and shake it up even more.

    Absolutely loved it! SO many shades of Kate tonght: frightened, determined, bad ass, and naughty (wowza)! Glad that they lept the fractured dynamic between Espo?Ryan as that will definitely play out in the eps to come.Glad that Maddox is no longer in the picture, and fantastic scene between Kate and the "head of the dragon"... as he tried to use his politician juju to guilt trip her into accepting that her mother's death and everyone else who's died was all in the name of social progress - and Kate not buying one bit of it. It'll be interesting to see how this situation will play out in the future as it doesn't seem likely that if he wasn't willing to honor the arrangement with Mr Smith, he will certainly not be willing to honor his deal with Beckett..... Fantastic start to the season!

    They really should add a 'beyond awesome' option,cause that's the only way to describe After The Storm. Some funny moments with people hiding in closets,some serious crime-show moments with bombs and destroid files,and a huge level of badassness.I think we got one of Stana's very best moments in that scene with the senator,though it wasnt as good as Killshot.I had high expectations for this ep,and Castle was 100x better than those,as always.I just think they could've given us one tiny,quick kiss.Well,there's plenty of time for that.

    Castle has always been good at having fun episodes and serious episodes. This time they blended the two together in a way that really worked. I have high hopes for this season.

    I tried that, but woke up at 2 too excited after only 2 hours of sleep and couldn't get back to sleep. its now 6:30 and I have work to get to. This is going to be a long day, but I feel so much better for watching this. Awesome!!!


    I'm not sure I can wait for episodes anymore, i see a lot of early Tuesday mornings in my future :-)

    well, I hope that after 25 years hearing about the Moonlighting Curse, we'll hear about how Castle broke that curse and became the standard for successfully resolving WTWT in an organic, consistent, FUN manner. Very well played. I hope they keep at it.

    Either I missed this or I'll read about it in one of the post-mortem recaps and interviews, but what I couldn't figure out was: What was the senator's motive for ordering all those hits? I'm sure I got it last night. Wasn't it something about power from back in Montgomery's rookie/dirty cop days?

    Freaking awesome!! Castle and Beckett definitely made their relationship the same as the last 4 years but just adding in the dating parts of it lol. Its good that their dynamic like everyone else is saying hasnt changed just been upgraded. Esposito and Ryan were as good as ever even when they're fighting. Martha and Alexis were only in 1 scene which im fine with. Man this whole episode felt like a mini movie it was great part 1 ending with Maddox dead. Good thing to. I liked the scenes of them sneaking around in Castle's apartment especially when Beckett is touching her boobs when trying to leave and realizing she forgot her bra lol. The Senator was well played I really fell for his kid story surprisingly Jack Coleman i think is his name excellent job great performance I hope to see u a lot this year ur very good lol. I also really thought beckett would shoot him maybe not to death but just shoot but this works to. The senator i bet wont leave this alone he doesnt seem like the guy who would b blackmailed for long. Great start and im ready for the season and one message tho GUYS THE 100TH EPISODE WILL BE THIS SEASON!

    Well, of course it was bad writing and bad acting rapport between the two actors at that point, but everyone cited it as a "curse." Bones just proved it wrong by virtue of having two very strong, charismatic actors with oodles of sexual chemistry, clever writing, and by avoiding some of the stuff that bogged down "Moonlighting." Castle did a similar thing with another pair of actors with a great chemistry between the principals, and good and clever writing. We'll see if that continues to keep their chemistry flowing as well. Hopefully, it will.

    Finally saw it. I really liked the beggining scenes, hillarious. They've managed to keep the chemistry and banter between them intact for the looks of it, which is really cool. I also loved that they stayed true to Kate's epifany from last season's finale and that she reacted in a calculated way to the reveal, putting the phone in the senator's jacket and then assuring her safety first, instead of seeking revenge (there's another show for that ;). Very intense scene between her and the senator. Also, the ending scene at the elevator was hillarious. I didnt like the fact that Smith wouldnt tell them what they needed to know, was an obvious plot point to draw the murder storyline further, but well. Also, someone should get Tahim Peniket a regular role, Helo is always amazing at what he does!

    Loved the comedy at the beginning. And while I'm sure that the Senator Bracken stuff will crop up again, it's good to have some sort of resolution to Beckett's mother's murder storyline. I've always found the whole conspiracy thing a bit ridiculous so hopefully it won't feature as much.
