Great episode, first time in years I can say this was an awesome ep. Felt new, refreshing, with twists and turns we never saw coming. The moonlighting curse is dead and buried on Bones.
I thought it was a pretty awesome premiere. I'm always excited to see Caroline, it's good to see that Clark's sticking around, and the whole team, as usual, was in top form. I AM getting a bit suspicious of Booth's FBI buddy now, though. I don't know... he looked a little shady there toward the end. And Pelant being Egyptian royalty? Random. I'm not thrilled that he'll be weaved into the rest of the season, but we'll see how it goes.
Does anyone else here think that Flynn cut some kind of secret deal with Pelant at the end? Maybe recruiting him to work as a spy in Egypt? I've read some people's comments which say that they Flynn is just dirty. But I think there's something more going on here.
Awesome! I believe this is going to be a great Bones season :),i loved the episode,BB together,Hodings, mad Hodgins like WOAH,and the ending, the flower, assdgfgjw!
Ok, but Pelant being released by the Egyptian government... really? I won't pretend to know anything about the Egyptian government... but them having the ability to release a person accused of murder? Really? Frankly it sounds too much like something you'd see on a sitcom.
He's being released because pelant is not Pelant, literally. To the US government and the egyptian government Pelant wasn't found yet. It's complicated to understand but basically when erasing an entire identity and creating an entire new one, it's not the same person anymore. Therefore THAT person didn't commit any murder even if they look exactly the same. That's how the system works and that's how Pelant manipulates it so easily...
It was good for what it was. I really hate that they skipped three months when they could have done so much more with Brennan on the run and out of her element. But after 1 episode we're back to the episodic procedural format great! I'm not saying it should've last long, but a few episodes breaking out from the normal mold would've nice.
I'm afraid the show will feel stale again when they go back to the case of the week format next week.
Is there a word higher up than AWESOME ??? This Show is CRAAAZZYYY !! MAN MAN MAN! Sorry, Just hyperventilating. What an action packed show. Thanks for coming back !! LEts hoping they keep up with the pace now.
one of my favorite Bones episodes yet and for a show entering it's 8th season, that's saying a lot! Well done everyone, it surprised me in a number of moments, the characters interactions that keep bringing me back to this show were all there, and they got pretty intense in a number of scees (the Hodgins-Pelante scene was awesome). Also loved how in each way everyone was helping Bones, even smart Cam with the email scheme. Two big questions now: what did Pelante do in their house in the season finale? What is the fbi agent up to?
I love bones very much and episodes like this remind me why. However, it is quite an uneven show because I am not that much into procedurals, even though Bones' team is usually enough for me to like an episdoe, which means that sometimes I love it, sometimes i dont care so much. I wish they would do more high-stake episodes like this. Seriously, I doubt they will be capturing new viewers at this point, and the ones they have wont leave them for inserting just a bit more serialzied elements into the show :P Wishfull thinking I know. Anyway, loved the episode and I think we are into for a very good season of Bones :D
Flynn picking up the flower after booth threw it out signals me that Flynn will be Pelants apprentice!!.....There's no way Flynn happens to love flowers lol
It was awesome!! It's so good to have Bones back and the Booth-Brennan family reunited! Urgh at Pelant - great villain but man I wanted to punch his smug face. I didn't expect that twist at the end and I'm very curious to know what Flynn's agenda is.
awesomeeeeee !!!! the flower and Flynn surprised me so much , this is very interesting , my question is who is Flynn - anyone knows anything about this ?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Wasn't as big of a fan of last season as I have been in years past, but I thought the premiere was great!
ReplyDeleteOMG awesome ep and it's not finished yet. Booth kept saying that she did the right thing but he still pretty upset.
