You see, a longish-running (more than four seasons but fewer than nine), 60-minute series is gearing up to bump off one of its lead female stars. Even more upsetting, the soon-to-be-deceased is going to meet her maker off screen, in a car accident. (Her “last” episode will take place at her funeral. Closed-casket, even!)
Mind you, that the actress in question is on her way out won’t come entirely as a shock — for awhile, the writing’s been on the wall, if not on her character’s tombstone. But, since you won’t get a chance to say a proper, sorta in-person goodbye, it’s highly likely there will be a bit of backlash.

Sandra Oh?? first name that comes into mind, especially with the storyline they have prepared for her this year
ReplyDeleteA lot of people seem to not be reading correctly at the source and guessing something Grey's Anatomy.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess Kim Delaney's character on Army Wives. Considering the rumours that she won't be back as a regular
Grey's Anatomy is on its ninth season.
ReplyDeleteQuinn from Glee? She's apparently been wanting off for a while now and Glee's at 4 seasons...
ReplyDeleteGrey's Anatomy or Private Practice? Didn't Kate Walsh say she is leaving after 13 episodes?
ReplyDeleteAlso guessing Claudia Joy on Army Wives.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Tara or Gemma on SOA?
ReplyDeleteIt says more than 4 seasons so that won't include Glee
ReplyDeletemore than 4 seasons but fewer than 9.
ReplyDeletePlease don't be Grace Van Pelt :'(
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Tara dude.
ReplyDeleteBeckett from "Castle"
ReplyDeleteI don't watch it, but after what happened, I'm pretty sure this will be Kim Delaney from Army Wives.
ReplyDeleteThe more I think about it the more I don't think it would be either, I don't think Kurt Sutter would kill off Gemma (his real life wife) or Tara or any main character without doing it onscreen and on that show it would probably be a violent death too like getting beaten or shot so I'm thinking it's some other show now.
ReplyDelete"60 minutes series" -> that's
ReplyDeleteit's definetely not her ! caskett's just begun and Marlowe knows how to write a show ! so no worries here
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think that was the phone call and not about the plane.
ReplyDeletemy first and only thought was kim delaney from Army wives!
ReplyDeleteSeptember mentioned Olivia has to die in every future. So..this the fifth season.
ReplyDeleteOh come on, again? She's been shot near? the heart in one season finale, hanging from an ledge in the other. That would be a real copout, plus it WOULD come as a surprise, whereas Ausiello says that this leading lady's demise has been telepgrahed for a while now.
ReplyDeleteMy guess: MarĂa LaGuerta on Dexter.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't even watch the show, and I'm sure is Kim Delaney.
ReplyDeleteThat makes so little sense is kinda funny.
ReplyDeleteMy thought exactly. It's Olivia.
ReplyDeletePlease,please just not Olivia,pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee
ReplyDeleteSshhhhh don't say that,please not our Olive!
ReplyDeleteDo you seriously think that Olivia would die in a car accident? Not to mention off-screen? It's Fringe we're talking about here. Or maybe I just have a little bit more faith in writers than you do.
ReplyDelete"60 minutes series" -> that's a cable show
ReplyDeleteMaybe it would be premium cable if you take that statement literally but basic cable shows and network shows are both of the 60 minute variety with approximately 18 of those minutes being commercials. The "60 minute series" part does not distinguish cable from broadcast.
And a casket, would our little band of rebels even be able to find one given the state of their world?
ReplyDeleteI believe they used the word "beloved"... unless it was facetious...
ReplyDeletePlus, those are just rumors that she's been wanting off. Diana actually loves being on the show and has been tweeting with the cast about how she misses them while in France.
ReplyDeleteLike others have said, I'm guessing Kim Delaney from Army Wives. I only watched the show for a little while but when the show's renewal was announced a while back, I thought I read something about how Kim Delaney was looking to reduce her screentime for the upcoming season. Not sure why, although a commenter on TVLine said something about her getting the help she needs?
