ReplyDeleteIt's hard to say that I've ever been shocked because of the furniture, but this one did it pretty well - just too creepy and bizarre. God I hope the Observers get what they deserve.

ReplyDeleteFringe: As odd as the whole furniture thing is, I really hope what they want us to get out of that is that Olivia was cut out of Amber in NY by one of the Gypsies and sold to someone as the other spoiler said who had "aquired her"

ReplyDeleteWell it's sort of amusing, because I am willing to bet that there people out there that have ambered pieces that contain things like mosquitoes, or animal remains in there homes and have creatively found ways to make it into decor...but when it's human, we all freak out, but I kind of intrigued with the idea here, simply because we know that 'the first people' (other versions of our characters, including Peters) have gone back to the time (starting with the time of the Dinosaurs: think Jurassic Park) and started humanity over and over again. -Kind of then playing into that idea that "human history" has come back to haunt us as we stare at ourselves, our own preserved mortality (or immortality) in the face with the Observers...
ReplyDeleteLol,Ken and i are into agate,and we started collecting since the first time we went cross country to the last.Ken gave one to his best friend that he has know for 40 years.About 5 months ago Tom sent us a package with an enclosed letter saying how excited he was (he had a stroke a few years ago and was quite depressed) when he came across this and started collecting...We open the wrapping and there were 3 pieces of Amber one had a fly,another had some other flying bug,and the third had a mosquito!

Well Olivia is alive in there and thinking so it is AWKWARD. I feel bad for her we all know what people do on furniture. I hope she isn't caught up in this. Its just too much for our hero. I hope they get her fast.
