10/02/2012 (09:00PM - 09:30PM) (Tuesday) : RYAN MAKES BIG STRIDES AT TAKING CARE OF HIMSELF – CHRISTINE WOODS GUEST STARS - Ryan (Matthew Perry) comes to grips that he doesn't have Janie (Christine Woods) around to cook or shop for him anymore. The group discovers that Lauren (Laura Benanti) caves under pressure when taking tests and decides to help her study for her real estate certification exam. Meanwhile, Steven (John Cho) has broken up with his girlfriend and enlists Ryan to be his wingman to go out on the town. Julie White, Tyler James Williams, Suzy Nakamura and Brett Gelman also star.

10/09/2012 (09:00PM - 09:30PM) (Tuesday) : WHEN RYAN SHOWS SYMPTOMS OF THE GRIEVING PROCESS, THE GROUP TRIES TO INTERVENE - Ryan (Matthew Perry) manifests a textbook symptom of the grieving process - compulsive eating - but he rejects the notion that he is a "grief cliché." After meeting the man in Lauren's (Laura Benanti) life, Ryan offers unsolicited advice in getting them to the next stage of their relationship. Meanwhile, Ryan tries to snap Danny (Seth Morris) out of his robust fantasy life. Julie White, Tyler James Williams, Suzy Nakamura and Brett Gelman also star.

  4. I'm glad they're getting more into Lauren's dysfunctions. I had the impression from the pilot that Go On would play up the "unqualified therapist" angle with Lauren's character but they haven't returned to that topic yet.

  5. Lauren, the Weight Watchers grad, is the perfect person to be in Ryan's life as he eats his heart out. I like that Ryan's coworkers, Steven and Carrie, are getting friendly with the therapy group. I hope the therapy group gets involved as Steven deals with his breakup.
