Sources tell Us Weekly that Glee's Dianna Agron, 26, has negotiated an early exit from the musical comedy's fourth season. "Dianna was unhappy and had been trying to get off the show for a while," says a source. "She and producers came to an agreement where they let her go. That's what she wanted." (A show rep tells Us, "This is patently false.")
The actress, whose character graduated and was accepted to Yale last season, will appear in a few episodes before being written off, the source adds.

Totally untrue! I have no proof but I mean come on! She was on glee project and she just tweeted about the show wishing she was there!! She can't be that unhappy with the show can she?

ReplyDeleteI believe the reason why she wasn't in the promo pics or in the first couple of episodes is 'cause she is filming a movie with Al Pacino...

There have been rumors of her being unhappy for a very long time...maybe as far as season two. If it was as serious as some outlets make it seem, I believe she would have been long gone way sooner.
ReplyDeleteThere have also been rumors of her being written off since she didn't appear in that S4 promo photo. I think that one holds a little bit more merit, but barely. After all, if a cast isn't refreshed every few seasons (especially on a show featuring younger characters like Glee), things get really stale, really fast.
I like Diana, but she need move on.
ReplyDeleteI hope the rumor is false, but I don't think she is going to tweet about how un-happy she is with the show. Part of her agreement to being able to leave early might be that she can't say anything bad about the show. All I know is that I miss Quinn and I want her back.

ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of Dianna's, but not Quinn's, so I'm not going to be sorry to see her leave... I DO hope that she finds a great next project, though.
ReplyDeleteI read that this is completely fake, and she tweeted a day or too a go that she will be back shooting soon, if they were going to write her out and if she was not happy for a while why not do it when they had the chance in season 3 with her car crash.

ReplyDeleteI figured as much... All the last year seniors, including those who didn't appear in the episode, were still credited as regulars in the opening scenes, except Dianna. Meaning that Dianna will probably guest star for a couple of episodes but wants to move on and not be tied to a regulars contract on Glee. That's probably the best choice for her career, but bummer that Quinn will be around less than the other seniors.
