    me too i was sad to see him go maybe the title doesnt refer to Doakes returning but his name being cleared as the "Bay Harbor Butcher" and the Miami Metro Police Department learning who dexter really is and where deb cant even protect him anymore thats my theory and maybe in season 8 (Final Season) he'll be on the run

    My immediate reaction: What!? (in an excited tone). The possibilities are endless on what this could mean. Dex is found out by all, Doakes is a new dark passenger, LaGuerta finally dies (which I've been hoping for since Season 1), etc.

    My hope/guess is that Deb will struggle with keeping Dex's secret all season, and then LaGuerta will finally figure it out, and when she's going to confront Dexter and arrest him/kill him (pending on how angry she is about Doakes), Deb will kill LaGuerta to save her brother therefore solidifying her trust in Dexter.

    Is this the season finale or series finale? E!Online mentioned that it might be the latter... but I remember reading somewhere that it has already been renewed for another season after #7...

    End of Dexter spoiler: A Romeo and Juliet ending where Hanna and Dexter drink poison together to avoid either one going to prison. Writers are so predictable.
