Hope he has more scenes with Sam, he and Jared are really good friends, love their twitter banter. Would like to see them work together more on screen. Plus the height difference alone make for some funny moments.

ReplyDeleteOther then that I can deal with him for a epi or 2, only if he has real purpose on being back. I Hope it had something to do with maybe him helping Sam look for Dean during some time.
Note to Supernatural writers: Garth is palatable in small doses. Please don't start over-doing it.

ReplyDeleteIf they were going to bring back any character from the dead, Gabe would be my choice. But on the other hand, I can't imagine how such a powerful archangel would fit with where the show is now.

ReplyDeleteGarth would not be my choice but I did like him better in Party On Garth than Time for a Wedding. However if he brings back Mr. Fizzles, it's war. I've got rock salt and a lighter and Supernatural taught me how to use them.

ReplyDeleteMy guess is ep. 7, they did 2 days of filming the 6th episode last week + 5 days this week (unless they have one day break somewhere I don't know about), which would make next monday the last day of shooting the 6th episode

Yeah, I like Garth! He's funny, it's hard to imagine him having survived so long as a hunter, and having remained in such good spirits.

ReplyDeleteGood point. It looks/sounds evil and may require additional help to finally put it to rest. I think it's conspiring with the cymbal clapping monkey wind up toy to take us all out. The Leviathans were just one of their brilliant distractions to keep us from realizing the creepy toys of the world uniting.
ReplyDeleteMy first reaction to Garth being back was negative, but to be honest, I'm not sure it's the fault of the character of actor. I think I'm just associating him with a long string of really bad episodes from season 7. And if Garth had been used as Ash was - just brought in for a scene or two of comic relief in better written episodes - then he'd probably be a fan favorite.

ReplyDeleteDJ Qualls can be awesome. But he's such a unique talent that the writers have to get him and use him well. IMHO he was completely wasted and misused in his first ep. I enjoyed him MUCH better second time around. Hopefully the trend toward improvement keeps going.
