Finite magic? Since when is that a thing? You either have the ability or you don't. Someone should just turn Sookie already so she can become some sort of unkillable, day-walking, fairy vampire. Maybe that would turn this season around. :P
I totally disagree with the notion that nothing in a fantasy show has to make sense because it's a fantasy show. It should still make sense within the world created, otherwise it's lazy writing and a lame show IMO.
I still want to know how the show will explain Hadley and Jason's not having telepathy when they're as half-fairy as Sookie is. The books' explanation for Sookie's telepathy and why Jason (Hadley, too, since I don't recall Desmond Cataliades saying Hunter's "Gift" was from him) didn't have it was great, but it won't work here. I don't imagine they'd introduce Cataliades now, though, esp. when people are already complaining about too many "supes" on the show as it is.
So when does fantasy and Sci-fi shows make real logical sense. They all have different worlds that are constantly changing. It's not lazy writing, with both fantasy and sci-fi shows things happen that don't always make sense.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteRemember she's only half fairy, unlike the rest of them. She could have half of the ability..
ReplyDeleteGenetically, that doesn't make any sense but maybe asking True Blood to make sense is asking too much.
ReplyDeleteIt is , nothing in true blood makes any logical sense. That's why it's a fantasy show, anything is possible.
ReplyDeletelol maybe she can become the fairy version of Blade, the vamp hunter...
ReplyDeleteHa! I cosign this. :)
