    In this Comic-Con Promo she asks someone if it would be worth it to give away what makes them different. So that's why i'm assuming it's her choice, not someone else's demand.

    Agree. I'm hoping it's just fairy lies to convince Sookie to use her powers as little as possible. For some nefarious reasons of their own. Fairies in the novels never were particularly trustworthy, so ...
