Nine Lives of Chloe King actress Grace Phipps has landed the recurring role of 16-year-old April, described as “a natural beauty with a bit of an edge.” April has just returned from private school after the death of her father. She has some history with Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Elena (Nina Dobrev), and Elena hopes to protect her from the many secrets the town holds. April will make her first appearance in the second episode next season.Source: EW

Wow. I didn't picture her in the role. I'm not convinced she'll be a fit for this show but I'll keep an open mind. It could work, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteSo basically they COMPLETELY messed up Meredith by adding Melissa last season(sorry refusing to call her meredith, AT ALL) and now they are retconing EVEN MORE stuff to add this character who is closer to what Meredith SHOULD have been, but most likely will end up being just as boring as the rest of the characters they introduced in S3.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually kind of glad they're adding someone like April on the show.
ReplyDeleteWho cares about the books. They were garbage.
ReplyDeleteGreat. The only problem I see is that the cast is getting really big.
ReplyDeleteThey should kill Tyler by now. It's the most expandable character.
On The Vampire Diaries, cast size isn't an issue because the show has no problem putting characters on the shelf when they're not using them. They've done it to Tyler, Bonnie, Matt, and Jeremy. You can go weeks without seeing them sometimes.
ReplyDeleteYeah you're right. Luckily they don't go the True Blood route.
ReplyDeleteFrankly at the current state, at least books had memorable character they used to their full potential. plot might have been teen-ish and meh, but at least it was comprehensive and well, WAS THERE...unlike TVD.
ReplyDeleteThis could be a new love for Jeremy
