The Office - Season 9 - Mindy Kaling to appear in at least two episodes

Vulture has learned that Kaling and the producers of The Office have worked out a deal for the actress to return to the NBC comedy for at least two episodes of the show's ninth season. What's not known — at least to us — is whether Office overlord Greg Daniels will use those episodes to write Kaling's character off the show, or to simply keep Kelly visible until the show's series finale (whenever that may come). Kaling will be meeting the press later today during Fox's portion of the TV Critics Association summer press tour, so perhaps she'll divulge more details.
Well, at least Kelly won't just disappear without an explanation.
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun if Mindy Project ends up being a hit. Then NBC is responsible in a way for it`s success.
ReplyDeleteIf the Mindy Project is a hit then NBC will no doubt schedule her appearances during sweeps
ReplyDeleteBetween the Mindy project (if it succeeds) and the proposed Dwight spinoff, the writers/showrunners have got their work cut out for them.
ReplyDeleteCurious how next season will go. On the one hand, my two least favorite characters won't really be in it (Kelly in 2 episode and Ryan in a recurring basis). But on the other hand, the awful-sounding Dwight spinoff is happening so we'll lose Dwight midseason too.
