This show keeps on surprising me.
ReplyDeleteWOOHOO! I was getting a little bit worried.
ReplyDeleteAlright, I'm giving in. So many of my friends watch this, and I didn't like the pilot, but I'm giving the show another chance.
ReplyDeleteLife = made. This makes me so effing happy, I can't even put it into words!
ReplyDeletegood news all round!
ReplyDeleteIt does improve dramatically. Suggestion (if you care for one xD): Try the TV.com recaps, they're what sucked me in.
ReplyDelete24 episodes! Wow, MTV has a lot of faith in Teen Wolf. I look forward to it. Just keeps getting better.
ReplyDeleteI like the series a lot and the news is good, but....
ReplyDeleteI wonder how 24 episodes will play out. A lot of 10-13 episode season shows have extended their season to 24 with mixed results. Lost girl as a prime example.
Maybe MTV will split the season like a lot of cable channels do. A Summer season and a Winter season maybe?
third season 24..WOOOW.....AWESOME,...//AMAZING.//..congratulation,producer,director and writers.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this means they will split the season into 2 parts, like a lot of cable networks do, or air it as a September-May kind of deal like major networks do. Going to be interesting!
ReplyDeleteSounds good! I was just thinking that season 2 was really short (well it still has 5 episodes but I want it to go on longer =P). I think they will air season 3 over the summer and winter like ABC Family does for some for some of its shows because part of the reason people are watching this is because there isn't too much new TV on during the summer.
ReplyDeleteCreatively and ratings-wise, these super-sized orders don't seem to work out that well for cable shows. Just look at how Lost Girl's 22-episode second season turned out creatively or how Switched at Birth has seen its audience almost cut in half before they've completed their giant, 32 episode 1st season.
ReplyDeleteSounds great im so excited and 24 episodes =D
ReplyDeleteI literally screamed YEAH and raised my hands in the air. I'm SO, SO, SO, SO, SO happy!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd 24 episodes, even better, their season's where way too short!!!!
Awesome news! This just made my day! The show has actually been increasing in the ratings the last couple of weeks and has higher ratings than last year, so it's not really a surprise but it's great to hear they already decided to renew it.
ReplyDeleteAs happy to hear that they are going to have 24 episodes, I just hope that it doesn't impact the show creatively. Part of what's made this season so awesome is the blistering pace that the writers have kept the season moving at (never a dull moment). I'm worried that with 24 episodes, they'll try to draw things out too much and there'll be episodes where the story will seem to drag.
Hopefully the season will be split into two separate 12 episode story blocks so that'll be prevented (that way we basically get two seasons in one). Either way I still have faith in Jeff Davis and the writers until they go horribly wrong because this continues to be one of the best written shows in the genre class that I've ever seen and it's actually become my favorite show as of this season.
So glad!! i LOVE this show! this season has been amazing so far but it has also been way too short so I'm glad that next season is 24 episodes!
ReplyDeleteI looked at the headline and smiled happily. Completely missed the 24 ep news. AWESOME! Any clue whether this means it's moving to a fall line up or will it keep it's summer position
ReplyDeleteRight there with you. Hopefully, he'll still keep the story really tight. And shorter story blocks might be a good way to do it.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about taking the plunge myself.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the show runners don't panic because of the number. American series used to only work in 22 ep set ups...and many were able to keep it together with only a couple of bumps but no all out lost seasons. It seems like they should have enough of a heads up to be able to spend quality time at the drawing board and get the story planned out before the pipeline needs to move into high gear.
ReplyDeleteOh I completely agree!
ReplyDeleteSome series used to have more than 22 episodes... Boston legal had a 27- episode season and it was great!
I think the issue is when writers that are used to a short season have to adjust and just are not talented enough to pull off a longer season and/or they have a plan for 13 episodes and then have to adjust it for an additional 11 episodes.
Hopefully this will be enough time for the writers to have a nicely laid out season!!!
AWESOME!!!!
ReplyDeleteyeeeesssssss! :D
ReplyDeleteI thought Season 2 was going to be 24 episodes:

I'm a bit worried that an extended run will impact the show 'creatively speaking' (I prefer 13 episodes-seasons), and when I saw how awesome Season 2 is doing (believing it will have 24 episodes too) all the worries fade away. But now that I read Season 2 will be a short season like always... I don't know. Anyway, I have faith in Jeff Davis, he's doing great!
