  1. I knew too much about this episode going in, what with the comic-con panel/poster, all the promos and an early review that gave away the teaser for me.

But it was a damn good episode and I'll be looking forward to next week.

  3. That is how a series premieres!

Another classic episode... The return of Mike, Ted Benneke is alive (sorta) and Walter has a plan! XD

Every time Walter gets that look as he formulates a plan I think of Captain Stern from that old cult classic movie Heavy Metal saying "It's okay Charlie, I've got an angle!" XD

It always seems like a brilliant idea..... until it becomes an even bigger monster! XD

  5. I had a laugh-attack hearing this from Saul and I knew instantly what he wanted Skyler to be. lol

  6. Best things first: Mike being back and nearly every line of him made me smile.

Looked so good for Hank, now well at least he has another thread to follow now. Great to see a picture of those two amigos.

Was very surprised to see Benneke again, but well now Skyler has to live with that as well.

Nothing much for Jessie to do in this episode, but his idea and execution...perfect! I wonder if Walk could have come-up with that as well.

On the one side I hate it that we have to wait another week...but waiting till all episodes have aired and then mainlining them...

  7. Aw man Walt is scary as hell. The final scene in the bedroom, I felt like he could just as well have gone completely ballistic. He comes over as so composed but at the same time he's completely unhinged. Great episode, Mike makes everything better!

  8. The premiere was a bit too slow for my taste and yet it was over before I knew it.
Was expecting a more explosive episode, but who cares, as long as the show is back... I know it's only going to keep getting crazier from here on out.
I was shocked to find that Ted Beneke was alive (and heartbroken at the sight of him in the hospital room) and completely baffled by the cold open (can anyone make sense of it for me?).
Loved seeing Skyler warm up to Walt, and not sure what I felt about her not being more devastated at Ted's condition. All in all, good to have the king back, and Jesse just as much. Looking forward to the next episode!

  9. The cold open before the credits was a flash forward to Walt's 52nd birthday. (Breaking Bad began on Walt's 50th birthday-with Sklyer making a number 50 with veggie bacon over his eggs- and just under a year has passed since then.) So we've jumped a little bit more than one year into the future.
Things don't look too good for Walt in that segment. He looks more drawn and exhausted than we've ever seen him, he's not wearing his wedding ring, he's using a fake ID and a fake license plate, he's coughing and taking pills (maybe the cancer has returned?) and he's purchasing an automatic weapon from the same dealer he purchased his handgun from in Season 4. Apparently he still has money, based on the gun purchase and the $100 tip he left the waitress, but otherwise, Walt's future seem pretty bleak.

  10. One thing still bothers me about the cold open. If Walt was in that diner to make an illegal weapons purchase, why leave the waitress a $100 tip, tell her it was his birthday, etc.? It makes him too memorable. I'm guessing that he isn't planning to survive the gunfight for which he purchased the M60. Or maybe he figures the cancer will get him soon enough that it won't matter if he's caught.
    Any other ideas?

  11. I think Walt forgives Skyler much in the same way Corleone does, don't you guys think? Very creepy way to end a season premiere xD I got goosebumps right from the teaser (I'm also a huge Supernatural's fan). I'm wondering what happened because it almost seems all the money, power and freedom in the world mean nothing to Walt in that scene. I'm hoping that Gus will still be a pain in the ...: no matter if he's dead. I'm glad that Breaking Bad is back. It makes look like Monday is quite a better day than it really is (I live in Europe :P).

  12. That was amazing. "MAGNETS, B____!!!!" I love Jesse Pinkman. I didn't care for the character at first but he quickly grew on me.

I love how they tried to destroy the laptop, but uncovered something else for the police in the process, not to mention leaving the Uhaul at the scene. On a side note, I have the same laptop model as Gus Fring. One of those silver Samsungs. I've had mine for going on 2 years and I've been very happy with it.

At what point does one stop rooting for Walt I wonder? He's slipping farther and farther down -- I don't think Skyler can have any feelings for him other than absolute fear. His "I forgive you" was absolutely supposed to be taken in the most sinister way possible and that's exactly how I saw it. Walt Jr. will start to catch on sooner or later -- as will Hank. Not to mention, what's going to happen when all of Gus Fring's contacts come to light? This will get very interesting.

  13. "yo! what about a magnet?' welcome back Jesse Pinkman. I have missed you dearly.

That premiere was amazing if a little too short. Loved the opening so much seeing a very much broken Walt again, his downfall is of course inevitable but with that big old gun will he go out without a fight?
Have to say I was surprised by Ted being very much alive guess I have to think of another Funniest Death Scene of 2011.
