  1. That's so awesome!

Still pulling for JoAnna Garcia Swisher as Ariel. And what about Jasmine, since we're going to be seeing Aladdin and Jafar?

  6. Don't know if they will distinguish between the two, but we may have seen one already. In "What Happened to Frederick" there is a "siren" (shark-like mermaid) guarding the magical water that Charming helps Abigail retrieve in order to free Frederick from being turned into a golden statue. I can't imagine there won't be a cross over mythology by combining The Tale of King Midas with The Little Mermaid.

  7. I am hoping for Aladdin! --But If Jafar is what we would get, I take that too!

  8. Don't mind Aladdin or Jafar, but I AM THRILLED about Ariel and know quite a few people who are about to get a hysteric breakdown of happiness from this news.

Still hoping for someone like Karen Gillan as Ariel. One can dream, eh? :D

  10. I guess I meant in Maine. A mermaid in Maine seems like a hurdle.

  11. When in some fold lore/pop culture mermaids tern into human just by getting out of the water (Splash, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides)....plus when stroybrooke was cursed, there seems to be a lot of transformations in their reincarnated states...but now we also may have a more magical Storybrooke and so some of those magical things, such as a magical pond or river may have been revived.

  12. It's possible that they rewrite the story. I certainly wouldn't think they'd use the original (as there really isn't a happy ending to have averted). But I've been less than happy when they've radically changed a story so far, usually the messages have gotten disjointed and it feels like the TPTB didn't fully think through the implications. So, I prefer when they don't alter too much in the quest to trick the audiences' expectations. I'm also hoping they don't take any cues from Splash. xD

  13. Sounds good, but I really hope they do better sfx this year. It takes me out of the story a lot of time.

  15. "Still hoping for someone like Karen Gillan as Ariel."
I'm 100% on board with this.

  16. I'm indifferent about all of these announced guest-characters. There are still some cast members from season 1 that need to be fleshed out and if they are going to be on the main cast they better start trying to make me care about them. (I'm looking at you Archie and August). More focus for Ruby would be nice too.

  17. She's really pretty, but I think the actress should be younger and look more like Ariel. I want the blue eyes, and JoAnna's face is too round for Ariel.

  18. Cece from New Girl?

  19. AnnaSophia Robb would make an awesome Ariel if she wasn't committed to The Carrie Diaries.

  20. Really glad with this.Aladdin is my favorite Disney movie.

  21. Wow, now I feel like we're going full-on Disney with this show... still, Jafar could be a cool villain, I suppose. And the mermaid story line should be interesting.
