I am so freaking excited about this, and so happy we have Prime!!
ReplyDeletegood for you. I might have to get it as well.
ReplyDeleteThat's Wonderful News!!! THANK YOU WB! ♥
ReplyDeleteme too! i'm a prime member and may actually use their streaming now :)~
ReplyDeleteSo basically Amazon Prime is Netflix Streaming.
ReplyDeleteYes me too! For months now i've been checking Amazon to see if this has been added to prime and it hasn't....till now, yay! I have looked at some other movies, but i hate there system, the way you have to search for a movie or show you want. But now,i'll definitely be watching!
ReplyDeleteYep,that's about the size of it..w/o being charged 7.99 a month.
ReplyDeleteBut you are paying 6.60 a month and I heard that Netflix has better TV programming, which is the only thing I watch. Is there some hidden perk that would make it worth switching over?
ReplyDeleteWill this be available on XBOX?
ReplyDeleteHonestly i already had Prime,my husband and i had to buy enough things from them over the past two years that it was worth getting Prime. We figured out what the shipping charges were coming too compared to what Prime cost and it saved us a bit of money...
ReplyDeleteI don't know if i would get prime just for that, but since i'm already a prime member its worth it...
Sorry Tony but i don't know,i will be heading over there later,i'll check it out and get back to you! ;)
ReplyDeleteHow are your friends? I hope you were able to get through to them?
ReplyDeleteThanks. I won't be switching then. I almost always get the free shipping so paying $80 for this doesn't sound like a good deal to me.
ReplyDeletethey are fine, thank you.
ReplyDeleteYes. Here's their pitch:
ReplyDeleteAmazon Instant Video is now playing on your Xbox 360. Many videos you've purchased or rented from Amazon are already available on your Xbox 360. Our full catalog will become available by the end of July, with more popular titles available sooner. If you're an Amazon Prime member, you'll also find the entire Prime Instant Video library waiting for you. You can start watching thousands movies and TV episodes today at no additional cost with your Amazon Prime Membership.Amazon Prime: Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers who are also Amazon Prime members get unlimited access to over 17,000 Prime Instant Videos at no additional cost.More info at http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1000798961
Thanks for that Dahne,Tony lives on the other side of the pond i'm not sure what Amazon is like over in the UK?
ReplyDeleteAnd since you are getting free shipping it def. isn't worth it.
Good,glad to hear it.
ReplyDeleteExcept when you live in Europe, than you get no streaming services at all! Yeah, it sucks. :(
ReplyDeletepersonally i have it for free two day shipping on whatever i purchase.. like my monthly flea meds for the pets..
ReplyDeleteThat's a good point but I usually get my packages within the week so I think I'll stay with Netflix.
ReplyDeleteHey Dahne Cheers for the info I will delve into my XBOX and see what materialises :)
ReplyDeleteCheers Laura you've been a busy Bee today keep up the good work! :)
ReplyDeleteAw Tony,thanks! ;)
ReplyDeleteI write more when i get my mouse, the way i'm doing it now is such a pain in the ass! Should be getting it Saturday....so they said,we'll see!
Yeah, that's why we got it,two day isn't a big deal, and sometimes i get it next day w/o an extra charge,Amazon has a company they deal with the next town over so if i happen to order something that comes from them its next day!
ReplyDeleteYou don't have any kind of streaming service?
ReplyDeleteNope. Not even something like TiVo. We can watch a rerun online on the networks website,,but the quality is quite bad and after five days you have to pay to watch te rerun!
ReplyDeleteWow! aw man Pascal, that sucks big time!
ReplyDeleteI shouldn't complain, it was way worse years ago. It tooks several years before US shows were broadcast here. These days it only takes about six months. Though shows like OUAT and PoI have yet to air here. Even H50 is still stuck in season 1! xD
ReplyDeleteSo then you basically watch everything online? I remember one time we only had 5 channels,NBC, ABC, CBS, and PBS and after eleven nothing was on,they went off the air, looking back we have it sweet in comparison.Oh yeah,i forgot Fox,they were just up and coming, but lagged behind for a number of years..
ReplyDeleteDahne: This is exactly my situation. Free shipping and no tax (yet...but soon) is working out great for me. That extra $80 is just not worth it for me either. So great that both shows are available now for Amazon though.
ReplyDeleteYup. Which is why I rarely reply to the "What did you think of X - X" post. By the time I get to see the episode it's almost 24 hours later. xD
ReplyDeleteBut if you wish I could bump some old posts. ;)
:) I record most of everything i want to watch at night,Ken is always on skype and i can't hear anything so i record it and usually watch it the next day or two,so i'm behind too!
ReplyDeleteYES YES YES. OH HAPPY DAY. Been wanting to do a Fringe rewatch but because I never use DVDs anymore I hadn't gotten around to it. I watch almost all my TB on my Kindle Fire and this is amazing news! Plus, maybe now I can finally get around too watching more of The West Wing.
ReplyDeleteSame here. You may pay $90 a year but if your household uses Amazon as frequently for shipping things as our house does, then it is worth it. The streaming service is just an added bonus. It doesn't have quite the variety that Netflix does but it does have some titles that Netflix does not. We have a Netflix account to so I'm not missing out on anything. :D And it's good for Kindle books too. Tons of cheap and free titles and a free book to borrow each month too. Love my Prime. And now with Fringe!!!!
ReplyDeleteYep,i have Netflix also, now i feel like i have the best of both world, plus free 2 day shipping, not a bad deal!
ReplyDeleteThat's a relief to hear! I'm not the only one who is behind! :P
