I like Sofia Vergara on Modern Family but you can barely call her an actress. Most of this list is pretty sad.

ReplyDeleteThis is annual salary, I presume. Even the lowest on this list, Courtney Cox, gets 5 million a year. I could do a lot with 5 million dollars.

ReplyDeleteSimple. Money and Viewers. No matter how much you dislike her like I do, she is a major force and sells Magazines, and TV Shows.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know Sophia makes the bulk of her income from other projects outside of Modern Family, she's on 100,000 an episode. Marissa is the highest paid actree in terms of per episode income somehwere in the region of 300,000/400,000 an episode. Kim obviosuly makes all her money through variosu projects including the reality shows, product endorsement, her entrepenourial side.

ReplyDeleteSad day when so called reality "stars" aka celebutards command more income than legitimate performers with actual talent.. The only thing that would've made it worse is if one of the Jersey Shore trainwrecks was on this list...
ReplyDeleteI'm seriously depressed by how much these reality TV people are making. In my dream world Survivor was a flop and the reality TV movement stopped before it could begin.
ReplyDeleteBest to blame the people who support her career by watching her shows and buying what she endorses. Or just ignore her. Eventually she will go away and someone equally annoying will take her place.
ReplyDeleteActually this seems low to me as far as Hollywood goes. After all Jensen and Jared make about 2.8 million a year for Supernatural. Now on a personal level, I wish I made as much in a year as any of these people make in one episode.

Kim makes money by doing publicity stunts such as her fake wedding and her other fake relationships. She isn't an extrepenoure at all, her manager is the one that does everything. Kim wouldn't know how to run a businness.

ReplyDeleteIt all started with Real World or some say that PBS documentary back in the 70's. Somebody has to be watching it because I'm most certainly not, it's not even reality, talk about a misnomer, the story are edited and now days they even have impromptu outlines and cater to what the fans want to see

ReplyDeleteShe has a SAG card and has acted in films that were in movie theaters, so technically yes, she is an actress, not that I'm defending her, that whole family makes me sick as well as most of the shows on the E! network and it's umbrella in general.
ReplyDeleteWell Jensen and Jared are in contract negotiations so who knows how much they will make once that's done. However with their last contract they made $125,000 per episode. Given that Vampire Diaries has a bigger cast with not much bigger budget, I would be surprised if they are making more than the Js. If they are, it won't be by much. Quite frankly I wouldn't say "only that much" when compared to my teacher salary and given they are ahead of much bigger name people on this list:
