This year, Showtime’s ground-breaking TV series Weeds will come to a close.
The premium network will conclude series creator Jenji Kohan’s acclaimed pot comedy after eight seasons. Weeds helped pave the way for other daring cable shows and made Showtime a competitive force in the original series game.

    About 2 or 3 seasons too late in all honesty, but glad they finally decided to prune the series.

    I stopped watching after the 3rd season to be honest. It just became time I wanted to spend on other things, so in my personal opinion: I'm not pleased, but not sad either, that the show will end now.

    i actually enjoyed season 4 the most... it was really fresh :D so you might wanna get it a try... season 5 was pretty bad, season 6 was an improvement and season 7 was disappointing again. Glad they announced the final season though!

    Oh thank god really it should have ended after S3 though there has been moments of greatness sprinkled across episodes since.


    I guess that Justin Kirk leaving to do Animal Practice probably contributed to the decision, he was the show's only consistent bright spot and he was woefully under used last season.

    Justin Kirk is the only reason I was watching the last couple of seasons. I hope he has a good storyline this year, because now that I know it is the final season I´ll have to watch the end.

    I LOVE the show. And I think the recent seasons were amazing. I loved seeing Justin Kirk's character, Andy, growing and developing. He's such a good actor. And Andy is amazing! So I'm glad we got to see more seasons of this show. I'm still holding hope for an Andy/Nancy union somehow! I know the chances of them happening are not that high, but who knows. He loves her more than anyone else.

    I didn't ever get around to finishing last season. I agree with most people saying it should have ended a few seasons ago. I never really liked it as much after season 2.

    I expected as much. I really like the show and particularly Justin Kirk's Andy amuses me to no end. I just love his snark:)

    There has been some subpar seasons, but overall I've really enjoyed Weeds, and I think it's great that they decide in advance that this will be the last season. That way the writers can bring it to a (hopefully) satisfying end.

    Weeds is such a great show, but I'm actually glad this is going to be the last season. Loved season 1-4, but the other season weren't as good.
