ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this week's! I'm super psyched for the premiere of Suits, and as far as series finales go, I always jump straight to Buffy. I love how they ended the whole thing on a hopeful note, even in the midst of all the destruction and loss, and I loved the way Spike's character went out even if they did kind of negate it by bringing him back on Angel. I'm not sure what my second pick would be... I have to do some more thinking :)

Lost and Scrubs for me. Both excellently done. Chuck's was amazing too, but I still kinda would have liked a finale without Sarah forgetting everything.
ReplyDeleteI must say as a fan of GRR Martin song of fire and ice series. I love hearing where you guys thing the series is going and your theories.
ReplyDeleteAs for the best series finale, I must say that I think for most sitcoms it is lot easier as they not have a big overall story to wrap up like it dramas. The premise is usually simple and there ending usually involved main characters moving on or dying. I never felt that one ending badly however I generally would not rave about the ending either even for my favorite one such a Friends, Fraser etc. Dramas on the other hand either a good or bad generally, I always remember Stargate SG-1 as it had terrible ending!! I know there tv movies but still terrible ending to TV series. I agree with Adam about The Sopranos, as it is a smash to black!
One of my vote would have to go to Six Feet Under as it had a great series finale, good finish to the overall premise and had great little montage for all of the character life, we found out what happened to everyone. I liked Battlestar Galactica and The Wire ending but for second choose I would have to go with Friday Night lights, as it one best series I every seen and ending felt very true to the characters.
