Smash - Season 2 - Jennifer Hudson to recur

American Idol and Dreamgirls alum Jennifer Hudson has landed a recurring role on the second season of hit NBC musical drama series Smash. Hudson will play Veronica Moore, a Tony Award-winning Broadway star who impacts the lives of Karen (Katharine McPhee) and Ivy (Megan Hilty).

Please don't tell me she'll be Marilyn next. Maybe the producers are just trying to prove everybody wrong who said no one could be worse than Uma Thurman in the looking like Marilyn category.

I hope there's a time jump and we move on from 'Bombshell' and the people behind Smash start fixing the show. And stop using Ivy as their punching bag- give her a break already. Someone on a different message board had a great idea- a new musical with two female leads. Then you get both of them singing, not getting along, stealing the spotlight from each other, etc.

I am so excited to see Jen on this show I can't wait to see what they character brings to the show and to the two lead Karen and Ivy.
