Scandal - Season 2 - Henry Ian Cusick will not be returning

Former Lost star Henry Ian Cusick will not be returning for the second season of ABC's Scandal.

The actor and showrunner Shonda Rhimes came to the mutual decision for him not to come back for the second year of the D.C.-set political fixer drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. Rhimes and Cusick's parting was described as an amicabile split.

  8. He was criminaly underused in S1 (and yet still managed to be one of the better aspects of the show IMO, so he will be missed) so I'm not too surprised he's out.

    Here's hoping he can now make a Fringe re-appearance seeing as he was brilliant in that!

  14. Well, what a waste of build-up between him and that red-head girl. We've practically been hit over the head with her infatuation with him in every episode. Though I have to agree with those commenters who point out how under-utilised he was.
