Novak will remain a member of the extended Office family, however. Even though he no longer has a deal in place with series producer Universal TV, Novak is expected to make recurring appearances on The Office and could even still do some writing for the show. Novak has also directed several episodes of The Office and could return in that capacity as well.

Okay, now everyone is starting to jump ship. Can they please end the show this season? I'm only it for Jim and Pam now, and I'm not sure if even they can hold my attention for another nine months.
ReplyDeleteI'm good with that. He's never been one of my favorites, so it's not exactly a blow for me. I think it is for the show, though. I can't see it going beyond this next season.
ReplyDeleteThe show for me ended even before Steve Carrell's departure. It just stopped being funny, especially the stuff between Jim, Pam and Dwight.
ReplyDeletePersonally I think this is a bad idea. Ryan is one of those characters who is best in small doses.
ReplyDeleteRyan has really annoyed me for a few seasons so this doesn't bother me too much, the show has bigger problems to deal with right now.
ReplyDeleteNot too big of a surprise, as I understand that he's great in the writing/producing side but the Ryan character was best in small doses anyway imo. I personally feel that it's a good time to start planning the show's exit, but not sure that NBC will want to give up one of it's stronger shows with the pitiful state that it's in. So perhaps the infusion of either a few new characters (still not sold on the Nellie character) or focusing on more of the minor characters a bit more or just plain better writing, the show might be able to go on for another few seasons... just don't go til there's nothing good to remember the show by...
