The third collaboration of Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley with acclaimed director Joe Wright, following the award-winning boxoffice successes “Pride & Prejudice” and “Atonement,” is a bold, theatrical new vision of the epic story of love, adapted from Leo Tolstoy’s timeless novel by Academy Award winner Tom Stoppard (“Shakespeare in Love”). The story powerfully explores the capacity for love that surges through the human heart. As Anna (Ms. Knightley) questions her happiness and marriage, change comes to all around her.

I'm really, really excited for this movie. Looks amazing - I end up loving everything Joe Wright and Keira Knightley do together so undoubtly I'll love this as well. But the visuals, the costumes! Simply amazing. And the music is captivating.
ReplyDeleteIt does look good.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite books. I can see Kiera Knightly in the role, and I'll probably go see this.
ReplyDeleteLoved Joe Wright's Atonement and Hanna! Very much looking forward to this!
ReplyDeleteNot interest. After watching promo i can't see russian people, feel russian character.
ReplyDeleteawww finally I can watch the trl. Keira Knightly as Anna will be perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhile I prefer Dostoevsky to Tolstoy, I did love Anna Karenina (maybe because Dostoevsky did too?), it's in my top 20 favorite books of all time for sure, I'm not a fan of Ms. Knightley and I didn't care for her in Pride & Prejudice (another of my favorite books butchered on screen, I thought the BBC mini series was much better done) I am needing something original on my screen. I'm tired of book adaptations, action sequels for the sake of money and remakes of 80's trash.Sorry for the rant but I'm just saying.
ReplyDeleteI've got to see this!
ReplyDeleteFrom the brief promo it looks like Jude Law is going to steal the limelight...
