I'm really sick of hearing people saying that SVU is no longer good because Meloni left, he didn't make the show what it is. It's team effort, and it's also us fans which made the show popular. People don't realize they are putting down the rest of the entire cast, that are incrediable talented. So what he's gone, it doesn't mean the show is different. It's the same..

ReplyDeleteI disagree, Olivia is not weak at all and is not off with her new parnter. Amaro has a lot of compassion, and and has a storng physique, so what it doesn't match Meloni's. The other characters inlcuding the new ones are not secondary. There are a lot of strong scene, throughout last season. Mariska had a lot of ones that were worthy of an emmy..
ReplyDeleteI disagree Olivia IS NOT WEAK AND DOESN'T USE IT. Second Amaro her new partner has a lot of compassion, he does have a lot of strong Physique. There are a lot of strong scenes, I can't even see why you would even say something like that.
ReplyDeleteThe fact is, Olivia and Elliot would never be together anyways since he was still married. No matter how much chemistry they have, it wouldn't going to happen. I think Olivia has really moved on with her life after he had left.
..AMARO AND OLIVIA don’t had the chemistry,she is not WEAK I never said that of all female characters she had the most strong presence and posture.and AMARO.presence is lost around her.when melonis and she were working together you see both actors in armony like one the series had enough melodrama to follow the conflict that meloni character had more deep and we like how he push his bottom to make believable .AMARO character is half way there new a big push.
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for the original Law & Order, up until cancellation, it had been on during all of serious TV watching life but I must say there is no better cop procedural than Homicide: Life on the Streets, maybe The Wire would come in as a tie (since their both based on the same book), what ties all three of them together? Richard Beltzer as John Munch. So under rated, but by far my favorite detective ever, next to Batman and Dick Tracy, so I guess SVU has my vote but I haven't watched it in over three seasons (way before Meloni left) and had every intention of coming back this pass season but with all the new detectives I decided against it. I actually liked the first season it was like a mini OZ reunion (all we needed was Rita Moreno, right?). I'm a huge fan but with all of the missteps I was glad to see CI and L&O go as well as LA, it was just time. I hope they don't drag SVU into to 20 seasons, let it go out with a bang and not a whimper.
ReplyDeleteThe presense isn't lost around her, and Olivia and Amaro have chemistry but not the same thing that her and Elliot had. Amaro and Olivia are just friends. Also it's spelled Meloni not Melonis, justo correct you. The series still has a lot melodrama, but without the Olivia/Elliot thing. Amaro is all the way there, by now..
ReplyDeleteI doubt it will go into 20 season, perhaps we'll see season 15. You try and watch it, last season really good.
ReplyDeleteEliot was good but he was sometime a bit to violent and most of the episode's were about him and Olivia. But he was funny and i do kind of miss him but it's not different now that his gone. In season 14 make some episode 's for john munch.
