Homeland, Dexter and Californication - Casting Snippets

–Homeland: You’ve seen Valerie Cruz in multi-episode arcs on True Blood and Dexter. She’s joining the cast of Homeland season two as Major Joy Mendez. In what’s described as guest star stint that might become a recurring role, Mendez is a military intelligence officer who goes with Carrie (Claire Danes) on a sensitive mission in Beirut.

– Dexter: Avatar and The Shield tough guy Matt Gerard is coming to the show’s seventh season. He’s going to play a blue-collar violent criminal in a multi-episode arc next season. As previously reported, Dexter also has Ray Stevenson (Rome) playing a Russian mob bad guy next season. Gerard is also in the upcoming ABC drama Last Resort.

– Californication: You know how Lost veteran Maggie Grace is joining the Showtime comedy as a professional muse to rock bands next season? Well, it seems her character has a hot groupie roommate named Shari. That role was just landed by newcomer Meghan Falcone
