Classic Grimm’s fairy tales come to life like never before in the “dark and imaginative” (Mike Ayers, CNN.com) supernatural series “Grimm,” from the producers of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli, “Privileged,” “Grey’s Anatomy”) discovers he is descended from a long line of criminal profilers known as “Grimms,” protectors who are charged with keeping the balance between humanity and the creatures of myth. With newly awoken abilities to detect the evil lurking among us, Nick struggles to keep his old life separate and safe as he becomes ever more entrenched in the ancient rivalries of the Grimm world. Available onBlu-ray™ and DVD on August 7, 2012, “Grimm” Season One allows fans to experience all 22 chilling episodes back-to-back and uninterrupted.
“Grimm” Season One also stars Russell Hornsby (“Lincoln Heights,” “In Treatment”), Silas Weir Mitchell (“My Name is Earl,” “The Mentalist”), Bitsie Tulloch (The Artist, “Quarterlife”), Reggie Lee (“Prison Break,” Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End) and Sasha Roiz (“Caprica,” “House”). Guest stars such as Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (Scarface) Amy Acker (“Angel”), Titus Welliver (“Lost”) and Sebastian Roché (“Supernatural”) also appear in this uniquely evocative series that critics rave “offers genuine scares” (Michelle Tauber, People).

That is some nice cover art!
ReplyDeleteSo many shows take no time to do their BD or DVD cover art so it is refreshing to see a show put some thought and effort into it!
Not a bad package of extras either from what it looks like.
Overall Grimm was a very pleasant surprise last season and this disc set may find its way onto my shelves this Fall.
Looking forward to Season 2!
Here's the angle view with the spine if anyone cares....
ReplyDelete..O.M.G..... all people finally notice the color of all series box art are the same..BLACK,WHITE AND SHADES OF BLUE may be all the network hire the same company
ReplyDeleteIt's not as great as the show is, that's for sure. Would have like to see more variety of the vessen in the mini boxes. Excited for the 'making monsters' extra. Love that!
ReplyDeleteI actually like this shot better, the one above looks more like a poster..
ReplyDeleteDid not like it.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad cover, though they could have filled that empty space on the right side with Juliet. I'm looking forward to some of the special features, too!
ReplyDeleteAgreed - Grimm was a pleasant surprise for me, too. I saw the pilot and wasn't overly impressed, but I picked the show up again mid-season. I'm glad that I did! I ended up enjoying it a lot, and I think it really hit its stride. I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress in the second season.
