Oooooo these creatures sound interesting!
ReplyDeleteLooks great. I think season will the best.
ReplyDeleteI just hope they get rid of his mum fast and cure Juliet fast and tell her about him being a Grimm and then i am happy. I suspect it's not going to be as simple as that though, waah.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this season! Grimm is the best show since Buffy/Angel.
ReplyDeleteAhhh!!!! more German. ::sigh::
ReplyDeleteThey did tell her, but it was in German and she was so confused she thought he was crazy. I totally felt her pain.
ReplyDelete"Saber-toothed killing machine"? Yikes. That doesn't sound good.
ReplyDeleteHa, I know how you feel. I love this show, but I can't keep any of the names of the creatures straight! I only remember what Monroe is because they say it a few times an episode.
ReplyDeleteThis show is fun! I especially like Monroe, And I can't wait for the new season to start.
ReplyDeleteYes, sorry, i guess i meant 'prove' to her that it's true. I hope they don't string out her illness, but i suspect they will! Gah.
ReplyDeleteI see now! It might help if she was in on it...maybe? I think they need somebody with a lot more spunk to balance out how low energy everybody (except Monroe) is.
ReplyDeleteI think I could take it if it were just creature names--and I wasn't expected to remember them. It doesn't help me that all the CGI faces look pretty much the exact same. Once the mythology and politics goes all German and I can't understand what they say enough to memorize it the first time and they don't bother to define it multiple times they just expect you to get it...well then they lose me.
ReplyDeleteThey have a website on NBC:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nbc.com/grimm
and a very good wiki page for stuff like that: http://grimm.wikia.com/wiki/Grimm_Wiki
Plus if you like kind of goofy hosts, a pretty good podcast over on DVMPE.com
I'm a hardcore fan and I like to do the research and get others takes on the episode to see if I'm actually seeing the big picture.
Another porcupine like creature,a take off of Fringe!
ReplyDeleteI think it gives the show a nice and unique flavor. If it weren't for it, all the names would be horribly bland.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to season 2 and these episodes seem fun, but what I am really curious about is what is going to happen to Juliet.
ReplyDeleteI guess--maybe if they put more characterization or style with the language. But there are lots of scifi/fantasy shows with odd named creatures and usually I have no trouble. But between the wacky German-named politics, characteristics, mythology, and creature names; the fact that all the creatures look the same; and the offhand throwaway way they stick it in just once and expect you to memorize it when they might come back around 7 episodes later, it is one big ball for me. But that's just me. I have lots of hopes for next season, minimizing the German was just one thing.
ReplyDeleteThe podcast is fun! Lots of audience participation in the later episodes.
ReplyDeleteWell either she's in on it, or she and Nick will split up i think! And i definitely prefer the former. :s
ReplyDeleteAgree with you about the energy levels too, yes, they are all quite laid back aren't they!
Grimm has a lot of creatures on their show-not surprised a porcupine like one would show up. It doesn't mean they ripped it off Fringe just because Fringe had one.
ReplyDeleteI was just joking! I'm well aware that Grimm has a lot of creatures,i watch Grimm weekly! I wasn't serious when i made that comment. :)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree I don't know how Juliet's not twigged or Why Nick's not thrown his cards on the table!
ReplyDelete..MARK on grimm again over the top of awesome
ReplyDeleteI will be interested to see how many types of new creatures they introduce that want to befriend the Grimm! Considering he doesn't actually actively search out the creatures to chop their heads off!
ReplyDeletetvguide.com is now reporting that 2.03 is called "Bad Moon Rising"
