Update: 12th June Submissions are now closed.

Update: 11th June Just 1 more day to make sure we've not missed any key scenes that should be included.

Hey all,

We thought we'd have a little fun Fringe competition to get us through the hiatus before the final season.

Massive thanks to SpoilerTV reader Dor for helping put this together.

Ok so how does this work.

1) Below we've come up with some scenes that we liked
2) Now we need YOU to see if we have missed any major scenes. If we have please let us know in the comments. Please include Episode No/Title along with the description of the scene
3) Once we've collated all of your nominations we'll be create a poll of all the scenes. You'll be able to vote for your 3 best scenes.
4) We will then have a "Hollywood" style countdown where each day we announce the winners from 10th place down to 1st place.

So take a look at the list of existing nominations in the table below and if you see one that is not there that you feel stands a chance of winning please add it to the comments.

  7. Season 2 x18. White Tulip   Last scene when Walter received that paper white tulip.

  8.  *cough* It's about telling your favorite Season 4 scenes, sweetie.... or you did some time-travelling ;-]

  9. Maaan, I dont want to have to watch the whole season of Fringe over right now to see if anything is missing. When will this nomination process wrap up?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Canadagraphs   We'll probably keep the nominations open for 3-4 days and then collate the feedback. Then hopefully a day or so after that we can create the poll and people can start voting.

  11. ep 4.13 A Better Human Being ... the final scene between Peter and Olivia in the car at the gas station. Where Peter says...'when i look into your eyes i know its you'.

ep 4.16 Nothing As It Seems ... you have to include the hug between Peter and Walter in the "Peter's birthday" scene already included in your initial list.

    ReplyDelete
  12. For me it has to be - 4.08 Peter & Elizabeth reunion, 4.09 Walter and alt-Elizabeth reunion, 4.19 Peter and Etta... :-)

    ReplyDelete
  13. 4.20. Closing the Bridge. It appeared so sad and finale, and perhaps it is. I'm sort of hoping not though. It's going to be a long wait to find out.

    ReplyDelete
  14.  Thank you Dor!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  15.  Yep, 4.16 i loved when Walter gave Peter his toys from all those years past, and when Peter hugged Walter...well,it choked me up...Great scene indeed!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Episode 4-19: Walter blows up the Massive Dynamic building with antimatter.

    ReplyDelete
  17.  Nellie,Spoiler always has Supernautral  competitions all the time, for everything, best scene, which brother do you like best, etc, etc, geezs its never ending. This is the first time ( and hopefully not the last) that we are having a competition  just for FRINGE,for FRINGE FANS.. And if i'm not mistaken you are already having a SPN poll of some sort.

  18. YAY!

The only scene I would like to add is a scene from episode 4x03 "Alone in the World" -When Aaron asks Walter about Peter and Walter starts to bond with him and Walter opens up on how he lost his son.

-I'm probably the only one who thinks so, but that whole episode I thought was exceptionally moving because "Aaron" was a great way for us to really get into the emotional head space of Walter and understand how Walter really is like a very capable, but scared, hurt, isolated and needy child. Not to mention the idea of children with kennetic abilities (cough to Cortexiphan and future children) that can also metaphor as the "networking" universes....

  19. From my little experience with SpoilerTV's polls, there are ALWAYS surprises :)

    ReplyDelete
  20.  Great picks! Do you read/hear Henry Ian Cusick isn't in Scandal anymore!

Disqus generic email template...I am agree all fringe fans deserve one is for the tittle of the poll funny scene I am not sure if spn had one so specific example right now is running the best quotes for each season episode & the competition is tough is supernatural had the funny scene poll to will be very cool.

  22. Only because this episode is not in there yet -

4x12 Welcome to Westfield: Walter and the others step out onto the roof of the school, see the universes annihilating each other all around them, and Walter simply saying "THAT....is Phase Two."

  23. 4.11 Making Angels, Fauxlivia's and Walter's interaction about the red vines and the farewell with the mints. 4.22 Brave New World Pt 2. Olivia smirking as September caught the bullets.4.22 Brave New World Pt 2. Olivia catching the bullets and killing Jessica. and same episode, Walter asking if this is lemon jello

  25.  Nice promo for next season, hope everyone watches it,thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yes I did hear that!XD ::Fingers crossed:: for a little more Simon Foster!

    ReplyDelete
  27.  Loved 4.11 when Fauxlivia is teasing Walter and then gives him the mints. Geez, there are so many good scenes,i can't decide right now...

    ReplyDelete
  28. That's a good one!! Welcome To Westfield was one of my favorites of the season!

    ReplyDelete
  29.  Yes,that would be great! Check out Davide Ambrams,he posted a promo for Fringe S5,its good!

    ReplyDelete
  30.  Mustie,no picture today? I think i've come to expect that from you! :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Agree, it's gonna be harder then we think! The scene you guys talking about is already on the list named "
Walter and Astrid farewell from Bolivia and Altrid" - this scene includes the mints part. P.S. I watched this moment 1000 times and still couldn't figure out how the hell she opened that little box!

    ReplyDelete
  32.  Awww .. KK Espcially for you a nice alt-livvie collage!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Totally shocked... no mention of observer scenes. IMO they are the best thing about Fringe

The beacon: September eating the jalapenos, waiting for the beacon.

September beating the robbers, catching bullets, then gives the girl her inhaler.

Any of August's scenes in 'August'

    My personal fav fringe scene:

March stepping through the glass... "... we have located it"

Actually pretty much any scene where they observers give cryptic clues to the fringe team.

    ReplyDelete
  34. None of those are from Season 4

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think the scene in 4.21, with Rebecca Mader, how on Earth did she do that thing with her eyes, incredible

    ReplyDelete
  36. That makes me happy too, you're welcome :) By the way, have you got my email?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Exactly. Nathan, this poll is about season 4. We love the observers as much as you, and you can find scenes with them in our list. But if you have any more scenes you want them to be nominated, just write them over here. Maybe next time we'll make something like "The Best Fringe Scene Ever"' but now it's just season 4 :)

    ReplyDelete
  38.  DarthLocke4 and i still have no idea how the hell she did that??????? But WOWW that was something!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  39.  Yep i know its on the list,i just can't stop talking about it,ha! That box is going to drive me crazy, but i think you topped me in viewings!  :)

    ReplyDelete
  40.  I love em!! Thanks Mustie,and i second that!  :)

    ReplyDelete
  41.  No Dor i didn't,when did you send it?

    ReplyDelete
  42. LOL! I loved it too. But I think it's just a simple video editing.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The only one I can think of that hasn't already been listed by anyone is: 4.16 when Broyles tells Olivia that there is no Fringe Division without her

    ReplyDelete
  44. Exactly 24 hours ago. I got a reply from a strange domain claiming its you, so I guess it's just spam. I'll try again now, if you don't get it then send me an email please :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Funny moments you've got there! Loved all of them. I actually consider getting most of them into the list but they are not quite suit to the definition of "scene". But I guess if "The new opening" of 4x19 is there, there is no reason why not to put those too! :)

    ReplyDelete
  46.  I did send you an email, but it was today after you asked me if i received your email. That must had been around 2 or 3 hours ago.Check your email to see if you received mine?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Whether its CGI or good editing its still a phenomunal scene. when I saw it first it reminded me of when I was a kid I had an adverse reaction to Penicillin, and my eyes went all like Rebeccas did. well not quite as bad, but u get me

    ReplyDelete
  48. Mine too. Didn't have a lot of "moments", but it was a fine episode.

    ReplyDelete
  49.  Yikes!  Wow that must of been a bad reaction, having your eyes bugging out of your head,i can't imagine that feeling, yikes! Just the thought gave me goose bumps!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Aww, that must have been awful. You are not the only one here who had in his past something similar to what we saw on Fringe! Lol. When I was a child, everytime I got a Fever, I was starting to hallucinate pretty bad, and I never managed to describe in words what I felt inside those hallucinations... Until episode 2x05 "Dream Logic" of Fringe! The first scene with these monsters was pretty much evoking all my past! :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. Aaaah grand! Can't wait to start voting (and see the final result!)

    ReplyDelete
  52.  Subject 9 - Walter losing it in the hotel room, then Olivia take him to drink Root Beer Float.

This is one of the most sad, and memorable scenes that has stayed with me. So well done, so tragic, so heartbreaking.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Walter telling Olivia ''I merely work for you'' in Subject 9. I think that scene illustrates the Walter/Olivia relationship best in a world without Peter.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Oh, and Simon telling Etta about his parents. It really does a good job at making you care for characters you've never seen before. Walter making the Massive Dynamic building disappear in the same episode.  And William's quote about destiny from Brave New World; "The art of chess -- the art -- is knowing when a piece is most valuable, and then, in that very moment, being willing to sacrifice it. For in the vacuum created by the loss of what is most precious, opportunity abounds, influence is maximized, and desire becomes destiny."

    ReplyDelete
  55. letters of transit- we see william bell in amber

    ReplyDelete
  56. 15 - A short story about love. Last scene.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Yes, that's what I was thinking about;)

Very excited for this poll! Gonna be epic

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'm surprised no one mentioned the Stephen Root moments of And Those We've Left Behind. It was such a well done and majestic episode personally can;t think of any though

  60. Another of my favorite from S4 is in the opening of 4.17 Everything in its Place, when Lincoln walks thru the door and there is Olivia, Peter, and Walter with the cow (for the life of me i can't remember the cows name, anyway) and Walter says Grazing day,and there is the cow with her FBI t-shirt on.
    Olivia- Walter thinks shes depressed
Walter- technically its a seasonal disorder, bovines aren't meant to extended periods inside, they need lots of vitamin D .....Sunshine!
Peter-Where taking a day trip to Warwick, its where her favorite pasture is.
    Lincoln- i see

I know it doesn't sound like much on paper, but if you remember there facial expressions that added to it.

    ReplyDelete
  61. One more! IN 4.18 The Consultant when Olivia and Walter are going over to the other universe

Walter- i like to empty my bladder before a long trip.

Olivia-Walter you do realize we just walking thru the door?

    Walter- Better safe than sorry.

Olivia turns to and says where ready sergeant.

Guy to Walter- Dr Walter Bishop

    Walter- Yes that's me.

Guy- Place your hand on the screen please,.. do you have a pace maker

    Walter- no

guy-have you ever been diagnosed with smallpox?

Walter-no. guy- t.b, Walter- no,  guy Malaria, Walter- no

guy- are you on any medications,

    Walter- several,mostly recreational

guy looks at Olivia and she says its ok..
