Okay, so I admit I was a bit skeptical with this modern-Sherlock-in-NYC thing (considering the fantastic Sherlock from the BBC) but... this looks good.
Wait a minute...WHAT THE ....? Sherlock in NY?!! Watson is WOMAN?!!! O__O NO...just NO... .. I can't stop laughing...Poor Sherlock...this is awful...wtf?!!
I hope they leave the "investigating the suspect" aside & just interview them on their own like "typical" Sherlock .. but I don't think that's gonna happen :(
Honestly, I like it. Miller; good, Liu, good. It's seems like its going to be fun and I'm always on the prowl for quirky procedurals. This show is getting so much unwarranted hate that is not even funny.
Well, in comparison to the wonderful, smart, beautiful Teresa Lisbon (and the actress that plays her): Yes. She is a two-bit hack. Do you have a problem with that?
I do have major problems with that statement, the like that I couldn't even express honestly without mayor bouts of profanity; but I am not going to risk a ban arguing with someone as clearly tasteless as you.
To be fair, Ms. Liu is a good actress. She was excellent in Kill Bill. I'm just saying Robin Tunney is better; that's all. Why do you like her so much?
I don't mind so much but I will agree with you. I guess the need to capitalise so much on the Sherlock Holmes brand (the actual Sir Arthur Conan Doyle brand not Moffat's.... even if he might think he owns it at the moment) was too strong. *shrugs*.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
LOL thanks but no thanks...

ReplyDeleteAnd Lucy Liu is fabulous.
I just died a little on the inside...bad CBS, Bad! *hits CBS on the nose with a rolled up news paper*
ReplyDeleteThis did not change my opinion about this show in any way.
ReplyDeleteThis does not feel like Sherlock Holmes.
The only modern Sherlock that works is Sherlock.
Not my cup of tea.
ReplyDeletegosh, i just saw a the mentalist promo with a british jane and an asian lisbon
ReplyDeleteThankfully I am not a big enough fan of either lead actor to make me watch this disaster waiting to happen.
ReplyDeleteEach trailer looks worse than the last... or is it just me?
Not just you. With this kind of budget, they should have gone a different direction.
ReplyDeleteDo NOT compare darling Lisbon with this two-bit hack.

ReplyDeleteWhere have you been? ;0 They have been going on about this for awhile now. At least your laughing! :)
ReplyDeleteWatson is a lady??? Hell no!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll take a look at this show but I'm sticking with the UK version.
I agree, people should at least give this series a chance. The two leads are fantastic actors

ReplyDeleteDid you just called Lucy Liu a two bit hack? Someone hold my Poodle!!!! HOLD MY POODLE!!!

ReplyDeleteYou were not being fair; now you go from "two bit hack" to "good actress"; neither you are consistent.
ReplyDeleteNeither trait encourages entertaining debate for me.
You didn't answer my question, Meaty. Why is she so important to you? Charlie's Angels? Kill Bill? Ally McBeal? What?
ReplyDeleteI'm begining to warm up to this....
