    I figured a bit out, he doesnt have the cane because of Bane, has it from the fall in The Dark Knight, his been retired for those 8yrs. Then Bane shows up and thats when he wants back in the game. First encounter with Bane he gets captured, beaten, kept alive as punishment to watch Gotham fall to pieces as for killing his mentor Ras. Thinking Bane was Ras number 2 after Bruce and he was there at the league of shadows training and his injuries are caused by Bruce when the building blow up.
